My daughter and I attended this church today, because we are trying to find a church that has more of a community for us. It was very welcoming and warm. The people were extremely friendly and helpful in letting me know how things ran, where things were. The service was great. I had never been to a Presbyterian or any kind of evangelical church before so I was really not sure what I was getting into. Very neutral setting, well lit and comfortable. They have a mix of current music in the service and the odd hymn or two. Everything is on a screen so that is extremely helpful. (Except for the biblical part. So I kind of miss is having the bibles in the seats.) If you are looking for a church that has families with children in it, this is a great place to look. Coming from a church where my child is often the only one, it was nice to see her joining 14 others today. The Sunday School seems a lot different then what my daughter is used to. Here they use the "Tru Story Curriculum" which to me sounds great for older kids. But of the school age kids my daughter appears to be the youngest. She prefers learning her bible and faith with hands on crafts, stories and interactive games. She was disappointed to find that they were memorizing verses with some kind of game where they would remove words and need to recall them. But there was no craft. She had fun over all but I am used to having to practically drag her from Sunday school. I feel like for me, this would be the perfect place to really grow in my faith but I'm less sure about my daughter.
