Kensington Dental Clinic - Edmonton

All around excellent service. After not going to the dentist over 2 years in the pandemic and not doing well with maintaining my dental health ( ie. not flossing regularly), I was really anxious to go to the dentist. I was also no longer on insurance like I previously was so I was on the search for a good dental clinic that would provide affordable rates for non-insured people. I highly recommend Kensington Dental clinic as they provide such excellence service and have a special fixed price of $200 cleaning for non-insured people which was a better rate than what I was getting at my previous clinic. I really appreciated the reception Ewa for being so warm and reassuring. I was very nervous when I made the enquiry call and I think realised that and made the effort to be kind and reassuring. She was always quick to answer the phone and was very efficient in booking me for my appointment. I would also like to express my appreciation for my dental hygienist Houda! I have very sensitive teeth and after 2 years of not going to the dentist and not flossing I was very worried about the tartar/plaque build up and how painful it was going to be during the clean. When I expressed my worries to Houda she promised to be very gentle and did not hold any judgment towards me with regards to the state of my teeth. She promised to warn me every time she had to go "deep" with the cleaning so I could be prepared for the pain but also reassured me that as long as she did things slowly and gently I shouldn't feel any pain. True to her words I definitely did not feel any pain to utmost surprise!! She did such a thorough job cleaning with such gentleness and precision that I felt no pain whatsoever! I have never experienced a dental cleaning that was completely pain free and the fact the Houda managed this despite the state of my teeth shows how remarkable her skills as a hygienist is! She was also very gentle and caring in the way she informed with of my "problem areas" in my teeth, showing no judgement but demonstrating her kindness as a healthcare professional and concern towards her patients. Another thing I would like to point out is that even though I just came for a cleaning, Houda informed me that if in the process of cleaning she noticed "problem areas" that were in need of further inspection, the clinic would do X-RAYS free of charge to aid with the cleaning process- this would not be a thorough examination but rather an x-ray done in the context of cleaning to help ensure that a proper clean can be done without damaging the teeth/gum tissues. While these x-rays were not necessary in my case, I appreciated how at Kensington dental they were willing to go above and beyond to provide high quality service to patients, and that they prioritized providing proper dental care to patients above anything else. I recently had really painful tooth pain come out of nowhere. My regular dentist on the south side wasn’t available today. So I called Kensington and they were able to accommodate me. They figured out the issue (infection) and told me I needed a root canal. They wanted me to come back a week later for it, but I wouldn’t have had a babysitter for my one year old. Ewa told me she would be happy to watch my baby when I came in which was seriously so nice and surprising someone would do that for me. However they did have an opening later today so I came back. The root canal is now done and I’m feeling much better. Freezing was done with care as was everything else. The dentist is a lady which I think is way cool. Plus she doesn’t talk down to her hygienists/assistants, and that’s something I noticed a lot of male dentists do. Also, before I had to pay anything, Ewa made sure that my husbands coverage would cover it all. Anyways, definitely canceling with my regular dentist to come here. Fantastic customer service. I met Dr. Ibadi a few years ago and she has been a God sent to me as her approach to her work is a perfect balance of compassion and craftsmanship. I suffer from severe anxiety in regards to being in the dentist chair yet she always knows how to calm me down I’m grateful to have met her and her staff. I would recommend her and her team to my family and friends

I am a new patient and scared to death of dental work, but felt very relaxed and comfortable here. They are awesome and I am so happy I have found my new dentist! I highly recommend!

This was by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I only had a cleaning but I’ve never felt more safe, and comfortable. I deal with anxiety and so this was a game changer. This clinic completely changed my outlook in just 1 visit. Thank you so much, I’ll never switch clinics again!!!!!

I'm so glad I decided to book an appointment here for a checkup and cleaning. All of the staff are great, everything is clean and new. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was very gentle. I've decided to go there again and will recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a new dentist.
