Everything from handling, to laws, to ranges plus Ken gives out valuable helpful hints. His classes are calm, he answers questions plus he'll take the time to make sure you understand. I would recommend Ken for anyone thinking about firearms (hunting, hiking, sports, prospecting)

This course is interesting, engaging, and very hands-on. Ken is extremely knowledgeable about not only firearms themselves, but all the regulations and laws concerning them, including in hunting. I'd recommend this course to anyone!

You are not learning from someone who has read a few books and considers themselves an expert; Ken has spent his life around firearms and hunting, and it certainly shows. From how to fit a shotgun, to tips such as not cleaning your gun before hunting for more accuracy, learning from Ken is worth every penny, and I heavily recommend you make him your choice of instructor. Other places will certify you, but Ken will truly teach you.

His skills are impeccable and can be backed with years of competitive experience. He taught us the information well and made sure we understood before taking the tests. I achieved 94% on my written and 98% on my practical. I now feel beyond comfortable around firearms and have the ability to control, and prove the gun safe in any situation. I look forward to his live fire training sessions as well as a possible future gun wound first aid course which is not offered as of today but he will be doing in the future. I learned so much about the laws surrounding firearms, safe handling of firearms, history of firearms, the list goes on. Ken had lots of different styles of guns and made sure everyone in the class was comfortable to manipulate all styles of firearms in safe manner. This was truly an invaluable source of information. I highly recommend Ken for all firearms training.

Ken was highly recommended because of his extensive experience in both training and competitive shooting. Having experience with one firearm is fine but to have the opportunity to handle a huge range of firearms was a great experience. Ken's straight forward training which he had many stories he would attribute to each firearm was great and helped me understand each piece better. Background information is so important to learning and Ken's Firearms Training sure delivered. Ken also takes the time with each student when they have questions. Being competent on such a large range of firearms is a great skill to have. Ken also makes himself available to answer questions after the course and is happy to share his knowledge on which ones to buy.
