At Ken-del Kennels we offer boarding for dogs, cats and other household pets. We are conveniently located just at the edge of the city to service Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
We have clean spacious dog kennels each with it's own attached outside run. Large enclosed play areas are available for sociable dogs to play together or individual dogs to play ball and run. An indoor play area is available for those dogs that can't take the outdoor weather as well.
Cat quarters are in a separate building to create a comfortable environment.
Both dog and cat quarters are heated and air conditioned.
We are on site to care for your pets every day of the year but we do not accept drop-offs or pick-ups of pets on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years day.
Inspections are welcome during business hours.

Not only did Ken-Del kennels make room for my large Shepherd, Sam, on the afternoon of Xmas eve when an urgent family situation arose, but they actually took the time to work with him to overcome his social issues! Sam had only ever been exposed to small senior dogs in a rural setting and was not used to being around a group of larger dogs. He is large, territorial and can be aggressive. As well, Sam has never been kennelled in his life so I was very nervous leaving him. I called regularly to check up on Sam, always expecting to hear bad news. Not only did they keep me informed of every detail of his well being, Troy actually worked with Sam to socialize him with other large dogs, starting slowly with a couple of more sociable dogs and working their way up from there. By the time I picked Sam up, he was running around and playing with a large group of big dogs having the time of his life! I was shocked and amazed. (the only other time Sam had been exposed to another large male, it ended in a violent dog fight) He also seems more obedient and less anxious than when I dropped him off. I have to say, Troy is a genuine " dog whisperer " who cares about the animals at his facility far beyond just housing them. He and his team go above and beyond to make sure the well being of your pet and its experience while staying at Ken-Del is literally a home away from home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly staff. It's a great place to board your pets (of all shapes and sizes, really!) and know they're being treated with the utmost care. We mostly visit to get our pet's nails trimmed, Troy always does a great job!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys are awesome!!! I can't say enough, they really try to create a posative experience for your animals. My dog is high strung and nervous, not only did they spend time sitting with her to calm her down, on a second visit they moved her between different groups of dogs to find the group she was most comfortable with.
Their videos are great if you want to see a bit about your dogs experience! Plus the grooming options they have while your dog is there is so convenient! Love em!

She had a great response to staff and was her usual happy self at pick up after a long weekend. We are actually extra grateful that she had another opportunity to build her trust around new adults. We will definitely return.

My dog is fear aggressive, so I was nervous bringing him there for the first time. Troy assured me he was in good hands and told me I could call and check in anytime. They sent me videos of my dog interacting with other dogs and put my mind at ease! Troy and his team have a clear passion for animals and I'm so happy to meet someone that is so knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for owners and pets!
