F	FARZANA WARDEN on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do I start ? My son, Zubin had been bullied over and over again. All the time that this happened to him he was told one thing only "Learn to face it". But how? We as parents definitely wanted him to attend Martial arts where he could not only be physically strong to protect himself but mentally and emotionally also. There are so many academies out there and to choose one was just not easy. But one call from Sensei Chris, changed our whole outlook. He invited us to see the Dojo and we signed up Zubin right away. There have been a few kids who have challenged Zubin to fight them since they all attend different Martial arts. But Zubin has been able to put them in their place just as how he is taught by Sensei and Senpai. Zubin is now very confident and focused. He looks forward to come to Keiko Ryu. He takes the instructions and teachings very seriously and this is why we are so happy that our son is in the right direction. The most amazing experience for our family was when we were invited to Zubin's first belt grading in December, 2014. It brought tears to both my older daughters who were so inspired by the class and with Sensei Chris explaining the procedure which was just awesome!! We are so proud to say that we are extremely happy with our son's progress and as the kids are taught "Shall never give up" on the Dojo. Thank you Sensei Chris, Senpai and all the other staff who truly motivate each and every student.

Since our son Jahvaughn has been with Keiko Ryu Do Martial Arts for almost 1 year now and he has had a tremendous turn around. The positive impact this class has had on him is nothing short of amazing. We were told that we would see improvement in a few short months and from home to school our son has proved them right! This Dojo teaches students about Focus, Motivation, Respect, Spirit training, Positive Life Skills, Confidence, Self-Discipline and most of all they have FUN!! They have helped our son understand that hard work pays off in the end and the results are gratifying. It’s nice when parents can go to an establishment and be recognized for the work you do with your children! Sensei Chris is a very respectful, insightful motivating Instructor. Along with the other team of Instructors they allow the students to feel welcome and always wanting more. The way they teach their students to never give up! And this doesn’t stop in the class it follows them home, to school, to work and into the outside world. This Dojo has a mix of students young and old, every race, color and creed and people with disabilities. I could not have asked for a better place for my son to be involved in. We were not just interested in having the girls learn self defense, but also for them to learn discipline, character building and self confidence which is very important to us. My husband called many schools and we visited some of them. When we spoke to Sensei Englund, he was very informative, passionate about teaching young people and also gave us an hour of his time to ask questions, interview him and he also gave the girls a training to make sure they were going to feel comfortable in his school. We have been at Keiko Ryu Do Martial Arts Dojo since 2013 and we have seen both our girls grow in so many ways, our eldest is now a junior assistant instructor and is part of the school's leadership program. The school not only focuses on Karate, but is very focused on creating an environment of inclusion, respect, responsibility, hard work, pushing the kids to always go out of their comfort zone and grow! We feel blessed to have found such an outstanding school teaching traditional Karate and character building that will equip them for life! Keiko dojo is not just a place you take your child to learn karate, it''s a home away from home. Sensei Chris and his awesome Senpais are a family that takes very good care of all families. Their program tailor's to individual needs regardless of age or belt level. I personally have seen the result of their work through the improvement in my son's health and strength. AWESOME JOB KIEKO FAMILY!!!

The staff and program build strong character and values that will assist them throughout their lives. They are now an extended family for us.
