Miserable weather but you can't control weather. We lucked Into a beautiful double site right across from water. Camp hosts were very friendly and also helpful providing a jump when my truck battery died!

I been going here since the day this place opened. The camp hosts are wonderful and friendly. The sites are always clean. The bathrooms are very clean . The best place to have camping fun with family and friends. The rules are definitely reasonable and respectful. The lake has fishing, with northern pike minnow and trout. Swimming is good too.

We had a somewhat nice experience here. Starting with the positives, it was a decent little body of water and a nice view. It’s fairly easy to take the road if you don’t have a 4WD. After reading the reviews and seeing that the hosts don’t tolerate noise, I wonder why the two families behind us were able to blast the soundtrack of frozen at night and let their kids scream and cry from the crack of dawn until late at night? I can understand that kids cry, but there were like six kids between the two sites and it was non stop. That site also left some dishes out and a potty which I suspect attracted the bear we saw sniffing around. We had to chase it away. The toilets definitely smelled. It was really bad when we were eating. I found the hosts to be nice, i don’t think anyone got evicted. The only loud site was two two adjacent sites with a tonne of kids.

Great campground that is not well known. Just 9km down a gravel road along Stave. Cars can make it to this site with ease. Much better priced than golden ears, 16$ vs 35$. The camp ground has lots of well maintained port-o-potties, nice fire pits, and spacious gravel sites. There is no running water so bring your own. The hosts are very nice!!

Great family campground on the lake. Every site is walking distance to the water and the spots are big enough for 30’ trailers. The campground is patrolled so no idiots allowed! Haha!

It’s a beautiful campground. Lake is clean and also warm in summer. Hosts are very helpful and assist in every possible way. I’d love to go there again.

Nice sites, nice lake, awful hosts. My site was blamed for another site's noise (we were sleeping) and we were kicked out, no disputing, they called the cops and forced us to leave. They should be fined for wasting police resources for absolutely nothing. Wouldn't refund my money either, camped two nights and paid for four. And no toilet paper in outhouses due to covid? Seriously? It's a campground, not a retirement community as they seem to want to run it that way. Maybe put up a sign that says 65+ if that's what you're after.

Stave Lake is absolutely beautiful: its shallow, warm waters and meandering, marshy canals are perfect for paddling and there are several sandy beaches to spend time on. The campground has quite a few campsites, with good access to the lake... but then there is the 1-star (or less?) maintenance. Where to begin? (1) Hosts keep "advertising" no-toilet-in-the-washroom policy due to Covid. Since this is the ONLY Lower Mainland campground where this is happening, it is obviously based on no actual regulation. (2) Checked in on a Sunday, site had not be cleaned at all. (3) Overgrown vegetation in the site impeding access around the table?! (4) No sign of washroom cleaning until Monday night. Left on Thursday evening - no other cleaning session since Monday. (5) Absolutely no measure used to reduce toilet odors, this is the worst-smelling campground we've ever stayed at and we camp regularly each summer. I have been postponing this review because this is truly one of the best positioned campgrounds in L. Mainland and it is a pity that maintenance does not match the natural beauty.
