★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My two daughters are students at the Kazoku Dojo. Over the past 4 years I’ve seen their confidence, discipline and determination increase under the instruction of Sensai Mike and Sensai Kym.
Both Sensai Mike and Sensai Kym are recognized by the organization’s heads for instruction and performance. This has been demonstrated by practicing in Okinawa with the Masters, in addition to international competitions.
The Dojo has a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the students, seasoned and new. I’ve witnessed and experienced first hand the friendships created.
I was so pleased with my daughters experiences that I joined as an adult student. This has given me not only the physical benefits, but also a sense of belonging.
I highly recommend Kazoku Dojo for all members of your family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son has been a student at the Kazoku Dojo for about one year. He enjoyed going to Karate class and making new friends. Over the year, I've seen my son become more confidence, discipline, and learned to respect others. Both sensei Mike and sensei Kym are wonderful instructors.
I would definitely recommend anyone interest in learning Uechi-Ryu karate at this dojo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son has been taking class at this dojo for a year now. The Sensei has welcomed him and my family with open arms, making us feel like home. My son has anxiety issues and The Sensei’s made him feel comfortable. He loves going to Karate now. He has learned so much in the past year, it has boosted his confidence level. My daughter enjoyed watching the classes as well she decided to join! She loves it just as much as my son does! I also run a day home, and we were all able to participate in the summer camp that was offered, and all of the kids really enjoyed themselves and was sad when it ended. Absolutely love the dojo, and everything they stand for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have found this dojo after moving from England to Edmonton, and after trying for 1 year different karate schools where both of our children would enjoy going to. We were pleased with the fun atmosphere since the beginning, as the kids were also learning their karate routine and discipline in the same time of having fun. Our both children love the place, love the senseis and the good rhythm of their karate sessions. The cardio during class is a plus for a healthier life too. And happy kids means happy parents!
I would definitely recommend the Kazoku Dojo to anyone willing to attend in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been members of Kazoku Dojo for 5 years. Both our kids love the sensai’s and feel like part of a big family. They have learned more self confidence, respect, they have an activity that teaches them to push their limits of what they can do and have a sense of community where they have made friendships that go outside the dojo.
Watching how much fun my kids were having and needing an activity to do myself, I decided to join as well! It has boosted my self confidence, it’s a great workout and making new friends and being a part of something bigger is great. Kazoku is an amazing Dojo and community.
