Hello, my name is Karen; I am the owner and operator of Karen’s Home Cooking Ltd. In 1993, is when my business was first took launch. Over 25 years ago!!! We are known for our fine perogies, cabbage rolls, perishky and you cannot forget the borscht. The secret is in the dough!!!
The first years were the hardest! It was work, work, and work, many sleepless nights. All the hard work paid off in the end, for we have built a good reputation with our customers and the businesses we supply to.
There have been many perogy businesses around for years, making the competition challenging. Although, we believe in providing quality to our products, and strive to give the best customer service possible. Without our cliental, we wouldn’t be here!
Our product has traveled to many different parts of the world. We enjoy working hard to provide our customers with the finest product possible! The best form of advertising is word of mouth. We are located in the North End at the corner of 803 McPhillips Street and Aberdeen Avenue.
So please, come down and enjoy our traditional home cooking for all our family gatherings and entertainment. We have been put to the test on many occasions, our customers; say “the test is you have to come close to Mama’s or Baba’s perogies”. Time and time again, we have done it!!!! We are the best in town; we are looking forward to serving you! Most of all, we appreciate you putting our product to the test!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cabbage rolls WERE BURNED BLACK and when I phoned to tell Karen, her response was "you can't burn cabbage". "The cabbage is just dark." !! The cabbage rolls however ARE burned, and I even took a picture and sent it to her. But no response was received. VERY expensive. No Customer Service. Substandard product. Would not recommend and will never buy from here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These are the best Perogies EVER! If you get what you pay for , then you are getting good value here. Took 24 out to the cottage for the boys, and should have taken 24 more !! Very well received by the crew. The dough has got a secret ingredient that makes the perogies taste fantastic.....Can't wait for the next time...Any one who doesn't appreciate these perogies , doesn't know from perogies...Thanks for the great service and the great food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am torn writing this review as the food is excellent but the prices are way, way to high. She charged 24 dollars for a dozen cabbage rolls. I will start to make my own now because the cost of ingredients is cheap but it is a lot of work to make them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is all freezer burned ingredients that they charge a fortune for. There are several other more responsible owners in this city. It made people ill and had stomach problems afterward. Will not risk health again even if prices get more reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd like to say no stars. These if you can call them perogies, you can't are pathetic. Do not waste you money. There isn't even a teaspoon of filling in them and I'm not exaggerating at all nothing but dough. Don't say I didn't warn you.
