★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small spot to park in where the fence goes up a slight hill behind the parking, where you will find a narrow passage through the barbed wire fence (thanks for the access, ranchers!)
Trail is very steep to best hoodoos views as well as base of balancing rock. (Do it if you can.) But also very solid. There are viewpoints of balancing rock from many easy-to-hike locations, and one for the hoodoos.
This is a beautiful and relatively short hike. Loved it and did it first time in mid-December 2020 with only a bit of snow near start of trail.
