A	Anita Neufeld on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Weird experience here today, when I was trying on frames. The sales person said I could remove my mask to try on frames, which I did. After a few minutes, she came back with a guy who started rearranging the frames I'd put aside, and she said I needed to put on my mask inbetween each frame I tried on. It felt like they were unhappy with me and thought I was breaking rules somehow. It's possible they've had problems with people not wanting to wear masks before, but they need to be explicit if they have certain procedures, not pulling power trips on the average person. I left and said thanks, and will certainly not be buying anything from them after being bullied in the store. Let's all be kind to each other, please.

I walked in the store yesterday after he let me know earlier The glasses were in and five minutes later I was out the door. As always a great experience with Kaltenbock optical. Ali and his staff are always so helpful totally professional !!!

Chris, the optician, was extremely knowledgable, helpful, courteous, and respectful. Couldn't have been more impressed with the experience - purchased a pair of prescription eyeglasses. Any subsequent glasses purchases will unequivocally be done with Kaltenbock.

Ali is the owner and he has a phenomenal eye for eyewear and for knowing precisely what looks good on you. As well, their in house optometrist is top notch and very thorough. My wife and I have been asked many times by friends and strangers who, after complimenting us, want to know where we purchased our eyeglasses. In my opinion, Kaltenbock, located in the building on the northeast corner of St. Clair Avenue and Yonge Street, is the only place to go in Toronto for unique, quality, fashionable, and sometimes one of a kind eyewear. Today we each purchased very stylish prescription sunglasses. We cannot wait to receive them. Ali travels all over the world so he can stock unique, high quality frames. Way to go Ali!! You'll always be our "go to" guy for quality eyewear. Thank you.

He is definitely the best in the city. He is so knowledgeable and has an excellent taste to help me pick the glasses that best fit my needs. I have very sensitive eyes and work long hours. Sometimes I would have a bad headache after wearing the glasses for long hours. So I’m very particular in terms of picking new glasses. Ali helped me find the light-weighted and stylish frame and got the thinnest lenses to reduce the total weight/blue light. Also he was so patient to help me adjust the glasses frame when it got bent accidentally after I had it after a year and offered his help whenever I needed an adjustment. I really appreciate Ali’s professionalism and generous help. Highly recommend this store to whoever in need of best quality glasses!

Unlike many opticians, I was able to use an existing prescription and frames without pressure to have a new eye test and purchase new frames. Mr Maguire was extremely helpful in guiding me through the many options for lens tints. All staff were personable and friendly. I highly recommend.
