My home beach, beautiful views of the North Channel, brand new R & J aluminum truss dock finished with locally sourced and milled cedar deck. Gives kid's safer options to access the water. Can't forget the great little playground for the kids run and climb with seating for parents to rest

I love the waterfront in Kagawong. It's a beautiful sandy beach and on sunny days the water is perfect. This beach is very popular in summer days so if you want somewhere more private this may not be for you. Although it's worth the crowds in my opinion. There is a dock for boats. It's an awesome area.

Great harbour for cruising boats . We docked here many times on our North Channel adventures from Windsor Ontario. Limited dockage but well worth staying . Great staff and a nice village for exploring . Good ice cream at the store at the marina .Bridal Veil Falls are definitely worth visiting , and for a cool swim on a hot day .For an interesting story (and expandable pics ) about a former yacht and fishing club for the rich and famous, , visit the website "Harbour Island , then and now" .I only mention it on this Kagawong site because it's not shown anywhere else as a "destination" , but Kagawong was where the Harbour Island Yacht Club got its supplies by barges and boats for its hundreds of members . We docked there when the yacht club was still furnished and intact in the late 1970's , and there is some info about it at the small museum beside the "old mill" in Kagawong . Harbour Island is in a bay on the south side of Clapperton Island , 15k north of Kagawong by boat .Watch out for the monster poison ivy there , if you explore the remains of the buildings , and it is a private island .

The waterfront is under construction at the moment. The beach access has a wheelchair accessible ramp in place now and the road has been regraded and paved, with sidewalks added. Parking is minimal. It appears that Kagawong is entering the modern age after much resistance. The main dock at the marina will be needing an upgrade next, for a finishing touch to beautify the waterfront.
