K	Kevin Gordon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have dealt with just basements quite a few times since 2018. Their work is stellar. In my opinion they are among the most respected builders in the city. Their quality is second to none and professionalism amazing. In 2 years of dealing with them there has never been even a single issue that I can recall.
S	Sarada Leclerc on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had someone from Just Basement call me yesterday and after a few minutes of talk the individual said he had a meeting to go to and that he had forgotten about it. He indicated that he would call me right after and in the interim I should browse their website for inspiration and ideas. I waited quite a while for the return call but got nothing. This morning I called the company and only got a voice mail recorder. I left a message and am still to hear back from anyone. This I feel is very insulting and does not make a good impression of the company. It also reflects poorly on the people that work there and represent the company to the public. Since posting my review I have had the chance to speak to Just Basements in length and am very pleased that they took the time to call back and discuss in length my plans. I may not end up working with them but the least we have better communication established and I wish them all the very best in their endeavors.
D	David Munden on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sold on family oriented local business idea....... gave a budget of 70-80k for a project. Was told that should be sufficient, or close enuf depending on choices. Then the process to get a very junior designer who basically had to be corrected so many times that we did the bulk of the design on their dime, through a process that dragged on for six months. Only to be told the project now was going to be 113k plus tax and not include a fireplace (that is part of the structure) putting us 47k over initial budget...... when asked for a breakdown to that insane delta, we were told Scott would be at the meeting with the designer - he didn’t show. Was told he would call by end of week. He didn’t. Didn’t respond to phone messages, and then when finally able to speak to him after 2 weeks passed from asking how they came to that figure - ZERO information was provide. So, basically they will come here and use every excuse in the book. Covid this, shortage that, price increase this...... but just have taken too many projects and are cherry picking only the jobs they can gouge the clients the most on. People six months into a project sometimes are dumb or desperate enough to reward these tactics with their money........ not us. Shame.
