People are afraid when your love one is in and giving a bad review at the same time. Thing is he already isn't being treated well at all. My dad is suppose to be feed 10mls through a tube every hour. He's already been 3 hours plus without. 90% of nurse won't give him time to talk as he struggles to speak. He can't get up to tell someone. Now they are using covid too stop my mum from getting in as she's the only voice he has. His food intake said he cant digest meat and citrus they gave him Salisbury steak and orange juice the first day. They also left him in his own bowl movment for a couple hours. Theres more but this covers for now. Thanks health care your doing a great job.

If I could give less than one star I would. For every amazing story of patients and families receiving great care with dignity and respect. There is a nightmare story of rudeness, delays, wrong medication, so much that it makes you question the care. Families will be left haunted, hospital will move on, never acknowledge the issue. never see the wrong doing. So yes 1 star is too much for this hospital and staff. Add on. No report will fix this. I don't believe anything will be done. They see no wrong doing and that is scary. Question them if help is offer at home, due to being released too soon. Do not use Bayshore. This will never be over for us and no patient experience write up will help. 10 years ago my dad died. He needed a procedure that was delayed weekend holiday. Dr came to us. Her words I don't want to do the procedure, his life is meaningless. He's in a wheelchair he's useless, let him die. Others around looked shocked nervous, but said nothing. He died Idue to delays. I reported, nothing was done, both parents deserved more and the hospitals failed them.

Staff in the ER were very helpful and friendly however, very difficult to reach. I understand that during Covid visitors are not allowed into Er, however some extra staff to man the phone at the nursing station would go a long way to ease family members’ anxiety! Many times during the course of the day the phone rang 8-10 times and noone answered. Finally at 9 PM I let it ring until someone answered just to find out what was happening! β€œBedside manner” applied to family members! Might also be helpful to send elderly patients home with written instructions as to the next steps. My father was convinced a Chiropractor would contact him to remove his staples!??

Had an MRI scheduled 4 months out. When it was a week away from my scheduled appointment I was informed by the Diagnostic Imaging Department that the radiologist decided to change my MRI type against my Surgeons request and never informed me. Thanks for wasting 4 months of my time now that I’ve had to schedule an MRI at a different hospital to get the correct procedure done. Unbelievable unprofessional behaviour by the Diagnostic imaging department. I’d recommend anyone to get an MRI done at a different hospital to avoid wasting months when you have a painful injury.

This is my third time here, and each time, I think it couldn't be any worse than before. Oh, how wrong I was! The triage and registration nurses were great, but the rest of the staff was so rude. I couldn't believe how they talked to the patients! I have never been to an ER that is so unorganized and so slow!

I have had minor complications with my left knee for more than a decade. Last summer, I re-injured my left knee and required medical attention. I saw my family doctor, got an Xray done, and then was referred to Juravinski Hospital for an MRI. An appointment with the hospital was booked for me last month but it was cancelled due to staff shortage. Fine, COVID-19 and all. Understandable. A new appointment was booked at the end of the next month. 4 days before the appointment, they called to confirm. 2 days later, they call to cancel because "the machine broke down." Now that's not defensible. The situation just doesn't add up. Suffice to say that my service with Juravinski Hospital has been far from ideal to date. I'm a young guy, physically fit, and I've been waiting to go out running again this summer. It's unfortunate that I have to wait on the incompetency of a major hospital to even fathom this opportunity. There needs to be a base level of competence at these medical institutions, but sometimes even that is too much to ask.

I'm the past two and a half years I have spent over half of that time in Juravinski Hospital as a result of various illnesses. In short, I'm extremely grateful for all they have done for me. Keeping me alive when my prognosis was very poor, on two occasions especially! It's disappointing to read posts by people who went to emergency and complain about wait times. I've learned through personal experience and discussions with medical staff that this department is extremely busy and it's impossible to please everybody, for many reasons. Complaining about wait times in the emergency departments is an exercise in futility. Expecting fast service will only happen for critical patients and you will have to wait if you've been assessed as less serious, as they are a priority. New arrivals may bump you further down the list of people waiting if more critical and this may be frustrating but ALL hospitals run this way and it is super frustrating; however, you'll appreciate this system when and if you ever are critically ill. I can certainly attest to this practice and for their being a rating scale that aims to care for the most serious first, as it saved my life! I also have spent hours waiting on stretchers to be seen, but that's just the way the system works. That said, I've received excellent care by almost all staff, including but not limited to nurses, doctors, food service personnel, diagnostic technicians, surgeons and the list goes on. I'm not suggesting that there hasn't been some staff that need attitude adjustments and might be working in the wrong field or that some procedures went wrong because it happened and that is a fact. These problems will be dealt and addressed another time. Overall, I recommend Juravinski Hospital to all who are in need of good care, but don't expect perfection because that is not realistic in my opinion. I wish everyone the best, especially those that took and are taking care of me presently. Stay safe.

So I had a hip replacement yesterday! My surgeon Dr Bali was amazing. Very supportive before and after my surgery, even called me at home this morning to see how I was doing. I couldn't have asked for a more considerate and kind surgeon. The nurse that prepped me for surgery was kind and considerate and had such an amazing whit and personality. Natalie my nurse in recovery was so kind and really cared. I'm so impressed
