★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I was referred here, I was told by my doctor I would be called twice. I waited a month with no answer and had to call to book an appointment.
My family doctor said I had mild scoliosis. Ghouse told me that my symptoms cannot be scoliosis. He diagnosed me with gluteus medius syndrome and gave me cream. This did not not help.
When I returned, Ghouse said he believed it was scoliosis when he initially said it was not.
When I told him I felt numbness and tingling, he did an EMG test. When it was over, he quickly dismissed me and did not tell me my results of the test. I had to call the secretary to find out I tested negative.
I felt my feelings were dismissed.
Two years later I found out I have a herniated disc. Still suffering with the symptoms of my injury and spent so much money on recovery. My family doctor concluded I had scoliosis because of Ghouse and therefore he refused to refer me to any service.
I had to go to Toronto in a specialized, self referral clinic to see another doctor to give me an MRI. That’s how I found out I have a herniated disc and nerve root impingement!
Would have been great if I was taken seriously from the start instead of spending so much time and money on the wrong rehab.
