Phil is an excellent luthier and an awesome person. I usually bring in my SG for setup and adjustments in low tunings and he always gives it back better than new and doesn't overcharge either. Gem of the City. Thanks Phil! X

I brought my Takamine E Acoustic in to the shop as the B string volume was half as loud as the rest of the strings. Phil told me to bring it in that he believed he had a replacement pick for the guitar. When I arrived I found his shop in disarray and he could not find the pick up that he spoke of but assured me that he could fix this. As the shop had a high review rating I decided to leave the guitar with him. 3 days later he told me to come back that the guitar was fixed. When I tried it out the B and the E string were the same volume half of what the the volume of the other strings (the top 4) he told me this was the best he could do and maybe look at getting a new guitar. I paid him and left in disgust. A few weeks later I took the guitar to 12th Fret. Long story short they found a small piece of metal was missing from underneath the saddle for the B and E They fashioned a small piece of metal and replace it no charge and the guitar now works like new again. Sorry I have to give this shop a bad review.

Bought 2 guitars and got a great deal, owner was very knowledgeable, made a few adjustments right there on the spot, I went to several other guitar shops and what they had in stock was just sad, warning, if you go there your going to end up finding something you will want to buy.

Took my bass in for new strings & a setup. Did a great job. Also have traded in a guitar & amp for a new Fender Bass Amp. Gave a decent price for my items. Definitely recommend this shop!!

Just picked up my newly purchased 2013 Gibson Les Paul Traditional that I took to Phil for a setup, fret polish, pickup and pot replacement. I knew the pickups/pots were going to sound good...but the guitar, acoustically, sounds completely different. The resonance and open sustain the guitar now possesses is remarkable. Truly stellar work. First time and future return customer. Thank you, Phil.

I hate to leave a bad review for a local business, but the neck of my brand new guitar was damaged when taking it here for service. For context I’ve been here twice before to have guitars set up and each time have been happy with the work. I recently got a Fender Strat, and took it in for a setup and to have the fret edges rolled as they were sharp. Phil told me the edges were fine but I insisted as I wasn’t comfortable playing with them. He called a week later as promised, and I didn’t feel like the edges were rolled at all but he insisted he did the work so I paid and left. When I got home I noticed that the fretboard and neck finish was chipped off in places along both sides of the guitar, and was a bit upset that this wasn’t even mentioned to me when I picked the guitar up. I called back and Phil advised that β€œit happens” due to the way the fretboard and neck is bonded, and there was nothing that could be done about it. Photo attached of some of the damage, and you can also clearly see the fret edges are not rolled. I’ll now have to pay more to take the guitar somewhere else to fix the damage caused by taking it here, and to have someone actually roll the fret edges which I already paid to be done here.

I can't say enough good things about this place I stopped in after ordering a defective guitar (twisted neck) online. And even though the store which sold me the guitar was dismissive of my issues at first, they eventually directed me to a Fender-certified tech which included Phil at Junction Guitars. Phil took excellent care of the matter, contacting the distributor, and getting me a new guitar - the exact model and even the same colour - within a week. He was extremely helpful. I should have bought the guitar from him in the first place.
