★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having recently moved to Ottawa from Toronto, I had to find a new local nail salon and stumbled upon Judy Nails— which had a fairly high rating. I made an appointment to come in right before the province wide lockdown and the shop was quite busy. I had opted for a shellac manicure which was very affordable at $30 including removal. That was probably the only positive about the whole experience.
The nail technician was very rough in filing my nails and rushed through cleaning and cutting my nails and cuticles. Normally when I get shellac nails done the polish doesn’t start to strip or chip until much later (2-3 weeks) yet this time the chipping started days later, even with 3 coats and top coat! To make things worse, the shellac quality wasn’t strong enough and my nail easily split.
I’m not sure if it was the result of poor service from technician or the quality of the products they use. I may return in the future but will be extra particular about the type or brand of polish they use.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved to Ottawa and was looking for a nail salon. I tried one near to. my home and after 3 times decided it was not to my liking. I ventured down the road to Judy's. A young man there does my nails. He is terrific, gentle, professional and good at what he does. I like the informal and less expensive environment. Would recommend this young fellow.

I relaxed, enjoyed a massage.
The whole time I was there they didn’t bother me for extra services.
50$ for a Shilac pedicure + 18%= 60$ Ciel was super sweet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been going to Judy's nails for a little over a year now and I love this place ! I get dip powder done each time and it lasts me around 3-4 weeks. It never breaks my nails and allows me to grow them out without getting acrylics. There's also a pretty wide selection of colors and manicure types, I recommend you try them out for yourself.
