Cory took great care of us, fixing and cleaning a gas fireplace that probably hadn't been serviced in decades - prompt, fast, friendly, all at an excellent price, and with such attention to detail, even touching up the paint! Great service from the office personnel to the install crew. They came in quick, did beautiful work installing our ductless heat pump and left the work area clean. Professionalism, efficiency and character was on point. I would definitely recommend JT Total Heating to anybody requiring the services they provide.

So happy with the entire gang and the process at Total Heating. Had A/C installed and gas hookup for our new gas range. The entire experience was very positive from the reasonable cost to the completion of the work. Very professional, the instal crew did an excellent job, cleaned up etc. Shaun came back to hook up our gas and set our stove up for us, neat and tidy and we felt he went the extra mile. We had a power outage and when the power came back on our heat pump did not. My husband called JT Total Heating and explained to Val about the issues. The lady replied was "we didn’t install it”. My husband told the lady we bought the Heating Pump from JT total Heading and it was installed two years ago by them. She advised him she would talk to someone and get back to us. He called back 2 hours plus, as he had not heard back from anyone and there is no heat in the house. The second call was answered by Val who took our first call. Val provided absolutely no customer service, all he heard were excuse after excuse why she couldn’t get a hold of anyone and that we are in a pandemic. Val advised it will be 2 weeks before someone could come to the house to look at the heat pump. She mentioned service calls now are booking for February 2021, with all the snowbirds staying in town. He asked if they have anyone that deals with urgent (as having no heat is kind in a house is not fun) she said no JT Total Heating does not deal with emergencies. Val also advised us that we are not considered an emergency since we have a fire place and there are people who are worse off at the moment. Our fire place does not heat our home I told her. Val told me to take my business somewhere else. In return, I did and got superb service. JT Total Heating lost 2 customers and counting over this experience with Val. We tried to support local and small businesses during this pandemic as JT Total Heating calls it, but they want nothing to do with the customers.

AVOID THIS BUSINESS! My experience with Total is with new construction. During pre-build I sent plans and schedules to several companies, and chose Total as the Contractor for HVAC – ducting, furnace, air con, venting, with me signing their contract in June. My first Status Update to them was on June 30th, showing the expected Calendar Milestones of the build. Additional status updates were provided along the way. As Framing progressed, I started leaving messages for John (the owner) to contact me regarding the HVAC runs and to get a site visit in. No response except for finally one rambling non-specific and completely unhelpful voice message. In particular, I was trying to get answers about the location for the Heat Recovery Unit (for the condensation drain) and finally had to just go ahead and pour my concrete slab anyhow. Not a good start, and only a harbinger of what was to come. Super difficult to contact, and I finally had to insist (through Trish, the only point of contact) an on-site meeting November 10th. By this time, we had complete all Framing and I’d had to move on with Plumbing and Electrical Rough-In because of Total’s lack of response – the backwards way to do services for a new build. The 10th was the first time John is on the site, we talked about the HVAC runs, agreed on a basic plan, he left me some questions to be answered, and he said “a couple of weeks”, even though they should have already been on the job for the ductwork, literally weeks ago, not week from now. The next day I answer his questions and asked one of my own about the air con line. No response. Several phone calls and messages left with the new “message center”. No response. Finally a curt message from me that he needed to meet me onsite (their lack of response is throwing a wench in my other trades, and everybody is guessing what the HVAC runs are going to be like). We meet, a full two weeks since I’ve last heard anything from him. I’m left to answer one question. I do that the next day at 12:05pm, and in that eMail I say “See your guys to start ductwork next week as discussed. They can start anytime next week, the only trade in the house at the moment is Electrical. We will be doing some Retaining Wall work, but this is outside.” Because that’s what we discussed THAT DAY! The next afternoon, he sends a eMail letter abandoning the project. This screws up my Framing Inspection and brings my build to a shuddering halt. Total Heating and John are deceitful cowards, making promises they have no intention to keep, and exhibit the worse in dishonesty. A contract with them has no value, no meaning and no chance of ever getting done. They are the worst.
