Jr Auto Care

I don’t usually get involved in other reviews but I will give my own experiences with JR & it has being always honest.I send my friends & family to his shop as he has always treated me with the utmost respect & his prices are very,very fair & reasonable.I sometimes watch the work being done as I also try to learn a few stuff myself. Some companies deserve negative reviews but I doubt JR auto care should be one of them imo.

Superb experience, JR and the team are always on point with professional, cost effective and time efficient service. Definitely high on my recommendations. ?

Best mechanic ever. Been going to Jr since I started to drive 14 years ago and he's always polite and straightforward. Doesn't push to do unnecessary work and is fairly price.

The most honest mechanic that I've been to. He will not overcharge you. I've been a customer for over 8 years. Because the team is so good you're going to be waiting as it can get extremely busy. Go once and you're sold as a forever customer.

I used to go to JR quite a bit, he always seemed helpful and reasonable..until the last time... I brought my car in for a routine brake job and after a week I had non stop squeaking so I brought it back. JR could not find anything wrong and would just lube it up and send me on my way. The sound would be gone for another week then come back.. this happened over and over again and once in a while he would charge a bit here or there. One time he changed the calipers, blaming that on the squeak (it didn't help, not even for a day).. After a year of this (yes a year of squeaking) I brought it back to the dealership and they immediately figured out the problem.. apparently my steering knuckle was bent and this can sometimes happen accidentally when changing brakes.. the mechanic is supposed to fix at their own expense (as they bent it) and JR did not, and then blamed the noise on calipers and sometimes charge me small amounts of money to troubleshoot or buy some special lubricant. I'm not saying for sure he scammed me (who knows what's in mans heart).. but A. either he was trying to hide the fact that he or his assistant bent the knuckle.. or B. he is just not a that skilled a mechanic. Anyway, I paid the dealership to fix what JR Auto broke and I have not had any noise or squeak since. While it may seem like he in inexpensive, it ended up costing my $1300 to fix what they broke (between the dealership changing the knuckle and bearings the knuckle had damaged, plus him changing my calipers for no reason at all.)

My go to Mechanic. They are fair and honest. They do not have you do more than needed.

I don't live in Toronto anymore but when I did JR was my go to. Always friendly and reasonably priced - he doesn't push you to do more than needed, and him and his wife will always take the time to show you what they are doing to your car. One time JR cleaned a huge grease mark that was on my car seat (from a bike chain)... during a tire changeover. Also got me some rear quarter panels at a reasonable price when my car was broken into.... multiple times. Now that's service. If you live in the west end of Toronto, give JR some business!

JR and family have operated 20+ years at this location and having just found them over my weekend I am quite pleased the quick job I needed was able to be performed and completed quickly and with accuracy. Super friendly and very reasonable pricing. They are worth a visit if you need repairs!
