★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed with the attitude/service from the waitress tonight. I guess a single, independent woman just looking for a beer , steak dinner & to watch a curling game doesn’t count here. No worries, I took my order & my 25% tip across the street to Earl’s!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an absolutely lovely bar with a very vibrant environment, spacious, bubbly and all inclusive for your pub needs. It's got a great patio for the summer and you literally got screens everywhere to watch any kind of sports if you are into that. On so many occasions, I have been served by several waiters/waitress and they are all awesome. The last time I was there, my waitress had gone to get drinks for my friends and I was still contemplating what to drink, another server heard me talking about blonde beer ? and quickly came to my table to show me the options, something he did not have to do, as it was not his section, it made me stay 4hrs longer than I expected, because it was such a chill atmosphere.
I love this place and the entire staff. #tipyourserver

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid Irish pub, the service at times, is slow, and there are some snarky staff -- but the drinks are generally cold, yet simple, and the food is OK, the nachos have come out soggy and unevenly topped a time or two, but the other items are pretty good. Great happy hour as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A go to for good beer and great pub food. The potato nachos never disappoint!! We tried the nuggets recently, definitley recommend. Crispy and cooked to perfection, they were sooo tasty. They also have decent rotating taps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1st time coming to Joyce. Came to watch the Oliver vs. Kings playoff game. Was pleasantly surprised as to how delicious and high quality the food is (I prefer the food here over 95% of all the other restaurants I've been to in calgay). Ambiance was perfect for the game. Staff was friendly and provided good service. A regular of the bar named John ended up randomly buying our meal, his act of kindness touched my heart. His kindness will never be forgotten. Thanks Joyce and John!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a football guy but wanted to watch the England vs Ireland Rugby match on Saturday and a friend of mine who used to work at Joyce on 4th recommended I go to there for the match.
What a great day. The place was packed with an amazing atmosphere. The service at the bar was top shelf, the Guinness as good as you will find anywhere and the breakfast excellent as well.
The only negative was England lost the match!

Calamari is very good and serving portions are big. Prices are excellent as well.
Service can be touch and go. Ushually spot on but do find the girls sometimes tend to pay more attention to the male customers more then the tables with both female and males...sometimes too chatty (with the all male tables) and make other tables wait. The manager seems to pick up on this and will check tables.
Aside from that, the service is friendly and welcoming.
I do really like this place though, go regularly and would recommend it.
A great place to watch the hockey games and super comfortable seating.
