The gear Jose uses is top-notch and combined with his great talent and vast photography knowledge, it produces great results from the first few shots.
If you need a portrait picture, Jose is your guy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jose is great to work with. He explains how to stand, what to do with the hands and hair down to every little detail to make sure the result is exceptional. He has top notch gear and definitely knows how to use it. Every picture he took looked better than any photo of me I've ever seen before.
The communication before and after session was excellent, my first versions were sent to me the same day! He carefully listened to any edits I wanted to make and made sure I was 100% happy with the result.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jose delivered amazing service and photos for my website. I've had photo sessions with other photographers in the past, and never really felt like myself until I met Jose. Knowing that I had unlimited time during the photoshoot alleviated all the pressure and anxiety I had about the session. Jose took the time to offer suggestions about wardrobe, hair, and poses. He cracked jokes and really made an effort to make me feel comfortable in front of the camera. It was really nice being able to see the photos as he was taking them, which ultimately helped me decide on poses, facial expressions, and smiles that worked well for me.
Even after the photoshoot, Jose took into account all the edits I wanted done on the images. Photo delivery was quick! Received all the edited images on the same day.
I will definitely be returning for more headshots in the future. Thank you for a great experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a fantastic experience with Jose. He was very responsive to messages to schedule a booking and kindly accommodated a next day shooting. He had a very professional set-up with all the lighting, backdrops, etc. needed. He had thought of everything to have a great experience from snacks and coffee available to your choice of music, hairspray and clothing steamer. I was nervous to do my corporate headshots, but Jose gave all the positioning tips, had me smiling and laughing and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable in front of the camera. He spent so much time getting the perfect shot as well as going through all the shots to select the ones I wanted. He even had the head shots edited and to me the same day! Jose Palma Photography is so much more than professional photography – this is an experience and a great one! Highly recommend and will be returning for all my photography needs.

The pacing of the session was never rushed and was infused with lots of friendly chat and humour. The process felt very collaborative and never hurried. As other reviewers have noted, Jose uses top-notch gear and gave great directions to create a superb finished product. Recommend!
