If it's windy make sure you've proper clothing. It can easily turn from warm to chilly. A number of take out places nearby.

Says they want to keep the area natural, but this invasive plant has over run the park. Our dog ended up in critical care at the vet hospital for 2 weeks, needed open chest surgery, and the bill was just over $20,000, due to park negligence. Signs are NOT enough warning. Use park at risk of injury to your pet. We're not the first people to have to go to the ER over this either.

L	Lyn M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just outside of Calgary, lies the village of Chestermere. Long time Calgarians have watched this place grow from some cabins and farms into the thriving community it has become. One of the town's features is the lake. While there was a water hole here, it has been helped along the way to become this beautiful busy little lake. On the north part of the town along the westside of the lake, lies the John Peake Memorial Park. This is a fantastic place for a nice walk. The pathway starts at the boat ramp and continues along the lake up to the highway. To be truthful I have never gone that far. The park has a lovely gazebo gazebo and picnic area. If you follow the paved path passed the library, you will come to the off leash area. This area is loved by dogs! Stella and I have met some very nice dogs and their owners in this park. It is a fave place of ours to walk for this reason. Grab a coffee and take a stroll along the lake. It is good for your soul.
