Joe, with his wife, Theresa, opened the very first Joey's Seafood Restaurant in 1985; their first foray into the seafood restaurant business. Always the visionary, Joe is a charismatic leader who consistently develops new strategies to grow and expand the Joey's franchise business. Today, with more than 36 years of experience, and 43 Joey's locations in Canada, Joe remains very "hands-on" in overseeing the company. Joe also believes strongly in giving back to the community in which he achieved success. His philanthropic endeavors go far beyond Joey's.
David Mossey
Senior Executive
Dave has been in the franchise restaurant business for over 20 years, both as a franchisee of another successful franchise and as a Joey's franchisor. Dave first teamed up with Joe Klassen and Joey's Seafood Restaurants in 1989. Joe and Dave began franchising in 1992, and have never looked back. Dave's experiences as a restaurant chain owner and franchisee have been instrumental in the transformation of the company as it evolved into a national leader in the fast casual restaurant sector.
Max Gagnon
Vice President
Max has over 35 years experience in single and multi unit Hospitality & Food Service under various chains in the US, Internationally and Canada. Both as a franchisee development. With a "Chef de Cuisine" diplomo. Former Chapter President of P.I.C.A (Professional Institute of Chef's of America) and Member of A.C.F (American Culinary Federation), Member of International Food Service Executives Association. Fluent in English and French. Joined Joey's Group of Companies in 2000 and influenced the creation of several generations of menu options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family was ill and one in a wheel chair and really wanted seafood from Joey's Only. I am not computer savvy but I joined Skip the Dishes to order some. I must have put the address in wrong - they never got the food. So...I ordered again...and again they never got the food. Went to wrong place :( The owner of Joey's actually phoned me and got the address and ensured that my family got their supper (even though they don't deliver). He wouldn't take any money for this service even though it was not his problem. I can't say enough good things about this man - turned a very frustrating experience into something wonderful - Thank you, thank you !

I sent my husband back to pay, but I was still extremely impressed.
I love the fish and shrimp tacos so I like to go to the all you can eat day ☺️.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sold on their Endless Fish and Shrimp offer .Went in a group of 4 to have fish and chips and 2 of us had All day Breakfast special for $8.50 ,they loved it .will be back for sure

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great quality ? but a little over priced imo. A strip or two of battered fish & fries (for $12-14? ?). But it IS really yummy! The fish is fried to a delicious light crisp and the fries are a nice homestyle cut with seasoning. To cut down on costs we often order 2 orders of 2-3 piece meals and split amongst 4 of us... ( $13 × 2 = $26 ÷4 = approx $6/person) .. $6 for a meal is pretty decent these days ^-^

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this restaurant not expecting much. I just wanted some decent seafood. I got there and the waitress was very kind. She took our order, I ordered the crab and shrimp. The waitress then went to the kitchen to ring it in where the chef (I'm assuming, I couldn't see) proceeded to yell at her saying that they don't have crab. She came back to the table to inform me that they didn't have crab because of shortages due to import issues and brought me the menu to look at again. While looking she went back to the kitchen where the woman (chef?) proceeded to say nasty things like "why did they have to order the one thing we don't have?!" She essentially just talked smack and was angry with the waitress for not knowing to tell me they didn't have crab. The waitress did not know they didn't have crab so she couldn't possibly be expected to know that to tell me when I ordered. Needless to say we paid for the pop and decided to leave. The waitress apologized profusely, and I told her she should notify her chef that customers can hear everything being said and she responded that "I don't think she even cares anymore." The waitress did everything she could under the circumstances and was very polite. I will not be returning to this poor example of a restaurant.
