You walk in and nobody acknowledges you, the staff are in general snobbishly rude and when you do ask for assistance they are reluctant to help you and have their noses stuck up in the air. I asked if they had Mimosa and Cardamom body creme in stock for purchase and the individual working stated they didn’t have it in stock, which was fine. I then asked to have a look at a body creme they did have in stock (Wood Sage and Sea Salt) and she came back with a perfume bottle instead. I explained I would prefer to (as long as covid guidelines permitted her to do so of course) sample the body creme safely (via a scoop into the product etc) as if you actually know how fragrance /body chemistry works certain formulas react differently when applied to your skin ie. the perfume may smell pleasant on you but the body creme not so much. She walked away annoyed as I suppose she just couldn’t be bothered to help with my request and proceeded to speak in another language to her co worker, which in itself is highly unprofessional and downright rude. As someone who really loves Jo Malone, it’s a shame to have experienced this really unsavoury service at this specific location. It’s really not the place for you to spend your money, the staff at the Nordstrom counter in downtown are far more pleasant, hospitable and decent in comparison to what I experienced in Richmond.

Why do I go to this location bc of their free and convenient parking. I won’t ever go back and will order online bc I’ve given them enough chances already and they really are rude. They do this so people will think they are high end. It’s a pity bc the sales at the downtown locations don’t act like this at all and I would have thought they would have acted more stuck up. In the past I purchased from Holts (always top service) and also the Pacific Center location (great service). Remember, that money is yours and I know people don’t need to start begging to be served or wait for twenty minutes for someone to acknowledge and help you. That’s not right. Do try to avoid this location.

Cindy was the first welcome me into the store and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. She has a lot of product knowledge and has a lot of experience, so she knows what other customers like and was able to help me decide on something as a gift for someone. Her customer service is impeccable! I normally do not write reviews, but I want others to know that if they're needing assistance with choosing a product at Jo Malone.. please find Cindy! She is super sweet and helpful. She doesn't pressure you into buying things either, she is just all help and care. :) Super appreciated! 100%
