Tried to buy a Kona, and they added $2000 to the sticker price. We asked for $500 off and they refused. They gave us an ultimatum to buy on their terms and we decided to walk away. Even the manager treated us the same way. We refuse to be disrespected and taken for granted. BEWARE! Make sure you read before you sign! I would not recommend this location for buying a Hyundai. There are other locations that treat you better. In a professional environment, you should not tell the customer, "take it or leave it". This location needs to learn how to treat people better.

Hyundai Accent 2014, Vehicle has 160,000km. Regularly serviced. Defective Intake / Exhaust valves - 3rd cylinder. Hyundai dealership in Port Coquitlam Service manager recommends engine replacement (basically more in costs than what the car is currently worth) Car only has 100,000 km warranty coverage, I am sure problems started at 90,000 (check engine light) all they did was a tune up back then! Engine replacement at 160,00 on a 2014 Hyundai Accent reflects very poor workmanship!! I will never own another Hyundai ever again. Have filed a complaint with Transport Canada. ------ Client response to the General Manager - Hyundai Coquitlam 04/29/2022 Hello David, I find your comments that I am "completely satisfied with your service" misleading and purely trying to spin this story, otherwise I would not be stuck with a barely functioning car at 160,000 km that has been regularly serviced at your branch. What I did say when your Service Manager called me 3 weeks ago with what I thought would be a call promising solutions to my current problem of not having a fully functioning car is that: "while taking my car in for regular service, I did find the level of client service more or less acceptable." However I have yet to be contacted by your branch again after that initial call, and clearly what you wanted was a semi-positive statement from me so you could do damage control. When it comes to dealing with the actual and very real issue of my car needing an engine replacement at 160,000km (The car was showing issues at 90,000 km while still under warranty). Both your branch and Hyundai Canada should at the very least recognize the car deficiencies, and offer the client concrete solutions other than lip service. My family has acquired 4 Hyundai cars at your dealership over the years and now due to this substandard car, we will not buy another Hyundai again. So I do stand by my original review. Furthermore I have complained to the Better Business Bureau, as no one should have to be stuck with a clearly substandard product.

Great Service and very friendly staff. We had a great salesperson Ava who took super care of us and would definitely come back and see her again. Nice Job Ava and thank you. The rest of the staff were also excellent from the sales manager to the finance manager, just an overall super nice experience!!!

This was my first time buying a brand new car (only bought used before), and it couldn't have gone smoother. Everyone that I interacted with from sales to financing was super friendly, and informative. I didn't feel pressured into any of the choices that I made, which was very important to me and made this such a pleasant experience. I also wanted to mention their service department, as I had purchased some maintenance upgrades and recently took my car in for those. I was very impressed with their efficiency and clean service. I'm very happy with my new Kona and with the experience of buying it! I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a Hyundai!

Purchased a 2022 Tucson plug-in hybrid at this dealership today. Very pleasant experience with the salesperson David lee and sales manager Martin Choi. They are honest, helpful, patient, and professional. Highly recommend it if you want to buy any Hyundai product. Will definitely refer friends to them.

I normally stay as far away as humanly possible from car dealerships. Unfortunately, I needed a new car as mine finally died. My daughter and her husband are regular customers of this dealership and recommended them for my car purchase. I haven't bought a new car since 2006 so the experience and cars in general have changed a lot. As a senior, I wasn't overly comfortable going into the process, but Maha in the Finance office in particular made it far easier and actually enjoyable ... even while parting with loads of money. She was funny and genuine to work with. Bahbak in the sales department was also fantastic. Very patient with me and my lack of technology aptitude and took the time to show me around, introduce me to the service people and answered all my questions professionally. They both made me feel very valued as a customer unlike other Hyundai dealers in the lower mainland who I also visited. Great service experience, and got a nice new car. Thank you very much to Jim Pattison Hyundai Coquitlam. You've got a great group of employees and great product.

Nice Service department, the usually take care of repairs in a timely manner. It happens quite sometimes that they don't have a courtesy vehicle and getting an appointment including a courtesy vehicle would need a few weeks or more of wait. The service department manager, Kevin is a nice courteous person and represents the brand in the best way possible. Overall, I suggest their services department to anyone having a Hyundai vehicle.

Here is my story. I bought a used car here and recently came to change engine oil and spark plugs. The service staff who greeted me were very friendly and explained well. They informed me that there was a problem with the ignition coil side and some part was leaking. So, they need to a claim and got an approval from the insurance company (which is i sign for when I bought the car here), and then they would exchange it, so they said would contact me next week. And they told me the car could shake because they removed the damaged part. As soon as I received the car an hour after the inspection, the engine warning light came on and the car fell worse than I expected, so I went back to ask with anxiety. They described the shaking they described,(it was not tremor) which they said would do no damage to the engine and that it would be OK to drive normally. I'm no expert, so I believe this and wait for next week until I get home and call them back. When I got home and thought about it, there was no particular shaking problem before their service, but after the service check, the car was even more damaged. No matter how professional i am not, they drive without a single engine part, and I don't understand common sense that this is okay, so I asked other mechanics, and it just doesn't happen. they would have exchanged it when they actually changed it, and if there was a warranty, i would have provided the rental car to me. Customers getting a car that vibrates is nonsense. Have I been fooled by their kindness? Or am I writing the wrong review? Next week I hope to get it repaired safely, and I wouldn't be going here again. -- add -- Today, the engin was stop on the road. They are either liars or unproven mechanics. If you want insurance money for death, leave your car here. they will kill you
