It's a great place to visit. quite no crowds. Had to bring my own pillow and blanket but that great I sleep better with my own stuff. Sometimes the grills don't work but found ones that do still a great time tho

Michelle is a very good manager, she made sure we have everything we need, was helpful and informative. The cabin was cute and cozy with lots of amenities, more than any cabin I've ever rented! Loved the Bay, so lovely and beautiful. Nice spot!

Wonderful spot! Was worried by some of the reviews I had read, but this spot was perfect for a 2 family weekend vacation. Great little beach area for the kids and a dock which people can use. Only flaws we're there was not much of a play ground and no TV for the kids to watch a movie or something before bed, but it had no effect on us! Great spot, 5 stars!

My husband and I were staying in the area, visiting from out of province. We were using the public road to the beach in the evening to watch the sunset. The manager came out with her infant child on her hip. She approached us after I came out from what I thought was a public rest area. She asked what we were doing and if we needed help. We stated we did not. She proceeded to tell us that it was a private resort and we had woke up her baby. Her small dog apparently barked as we went by, and actually her dog woke her baby . We apologized and told her we did not realize we were In a “resort” area. A public road runs through the middle of it. There was no signage on the door to washrooms indicating such, nor were they locked. The signs at the top of the road said “Jewel Bay Resort” but nothing said private. And again, a public road to the beach. As a mother I was shocked that a woman would come outside to confront 2 strangers with her small child. We were visitors to the area, and she was condescending and rude. There are so many great places in the area, I’d avoid this place and this woman.

We had booked the day of checking in. When we arrived the 3 bed we booked was not available. No rooms had been ready to check into until at least 6 PM that evening. We could have waited but cranky boys made it easier to book elsewhere. If your looking for a real camping experience with many children friendly activitiesthis is your place. Very accommodating friendly staff. Unfourtunatley, we had caught them off guard. No TVs in rooms for peace and quiet. Beautiful surroundings with easy clean beach acess. 2 steps above camping.

I'm not one to focus on the negative as the experience wasn't all bad. The location is beautiful, the area is quiet and the exterior of the cabins are freshly painted. The private beach is clear and awesome for kids, as well as the playground (however the playground could use and upgrade or fresh paint). Check in was smooth and the property manager allowed us to check in hours before check in time. Thank you! The cabins were suitable for the one night stay for our family but they need repairs...big time. The front step to the deck was falling down and uneven, the hot water tank was not turned on prior to check in and our shower was cold. The blinds on one window are falling apart, the kitchen window has no coverings at all, the closet door in the 2nd bedroom is falling off (this conceals the hotwater tank). The 2nd bedroom window crank is broken and the screen is missing. The 2nd bedroom door doesnt latch so privacy was hard to get when changing. The 1st bedroom screen is unusable. The a.c. unit wasn't installed and we had to do it ourselves. We were not able to open windows at all during our stay. The towel rack is broken in the bathroom and hanging off the wall. There is at least 1 screw missing and the weld has let go. The lock on the sliding door (entry) is broken and very hard to get the lock to engage. Repairs and upgrades are needed for the cabins to reflect good value for the asking price per night. In my opinion it was over priced for the accommodations. But... The appliances are in good working order. The decks are spacious and comfortable. Parking is a little congested but 2 thumbs up for the bbq (provided) and picnic area. The property manager also didn't come by to answer our questions or address our concerns. I saw her only once when I was handed the key and check out is a self check out situation. I would have liked more interaction there. It was a good experience for the kids for beaching, floating and playing but I probably won't try this resort again.

We got a very nice and spacious cabin with a view to the lake. It is very nice and quiet area. We went for swimming 2-3 times a day. The water is very nice. The staff of the resort were very polite and helpful. I did miss a good knife and a functional oven in the kitchen. However there was gas Weber just outside so it was all good :-) There is a lot to do in 20-30mins drive from there. I think I will equally enjoy staying there another time as well so I can definitely recommend it (therefore 5 stars)

I had been cycling all day for my fundraiser and was desperate for a place to tent for the night. Jewel Bay Resort had not yet opened up for tenting, but did so for us late in the evening. They cleaned the bathrooms, got hot water running, and did other chores to prepare our site for us. They were very kind. Outstanding views as well. Thank you so much!!!!
