My family loves the Jesus Loves You Church . Such caring and compassionate people there , we always feel welcome and leave feeling so special ❤

I have been attending Jlys for many years and love the sense of community and love I feel there ❤

The people who work and volunteer here are all amazing and considering the area that they r in they are super friendly and kind

I attended the JLYS with my children for just over two years. At first I was overwhelmed, not only due to my vulnerability, but also by the community vibe and generous weekly food hampers. Things soured for me when a situation arose between myself and two volunteers, who were both quite new. The way JLYS dealt with it was appalling, as the volunteers met with staff, but no one talked to me. A few months later I was helping another client with her children as she looked for a new home. Again the JLYS decided that they did not “approve” of my support of this other woman, even though it was completely arranged independently, and I contacted the appropriate professionals to make sure everything was ethical, and not in violation of social work standards of practice (my profession). Again staff and volunteers met, absent of me, and decided to remove the children from my care (although I still have her cat and all her worldly possessions in my garage). I have yet to return, and both police and social workers instructed me to just never go back. So I haven’t, while I miss the other ladies and the food supply, it is no longer a safe place for me or my children. When individuals or agencies undermine the value of a woman, her integrity, they inadvertently harm the children by proxy. Children pick up on things adults consider to be over their heads. Labelled “Christian”, I NEVER once heard the Bible being read, a hymn sung, or a deeply spiritual, and uplifting prayer for the women in attendance. (And most have difficult lives, beyond imagination). Once I volunteered to do a “face yoga” activity with everyone, a technique formulated to reduce frown lines and wrinkles through simple face manipulations. A female staff looked at me as is horrified and loudly proclaimed “Lisa, we are CHRISTIAN, we don’t do yoga here... . Jesus may love the women they serve, but the volunteers and staff at JLYS are in a category all of their own.

I am a mum of 5 kids and I am unreally Christian. I feel possessed by superpower when I come there. I pray I pray I pray. God bless us

Amazing. Just amazing. You can feel God in everyone there. The people here will go above and beyond for you!. You need groceries. They will help. You need support of any kind. They can direct you to a program.

This is a fantastic place for mothers who need to and and many other community members

This is the best place in the whole wide world for community! I am a single mother of three and this community has supported me over the past ten years through raising them. I am forever grateful for everything they are. I have met many moms in the same boat as me and learned and have grown so much from here. I can not express enough how thankful I am for this place. They simply are the best!
