I had a kidney stone stuck halfway thru and needed to have it removed. His office arranged for the procedure at CVH and Dr. Jamal dealt with the stone promptly and professionally. I cannot say a bad word about him or his office staff.

Dr. Jamal is such a wonderful surgeon. The best one can ever hope to get. On the morning of my surgery he was the only surgeon that came out to the waiting room to talk to the patient. The only one! It immediately reassured me and put me at ease. Through the years has been accommodating and friendly as day one. Clinic Staff are very professional.

In August 2018 I was referred by my family doctor to Credit Valley Hospital Urology Department to have an Ultra Sound done on my Bladder. I was introduced to Dr. Munir Jamal who, on reading the Ultra Sound report recommended that a Cystoscopy be carried out on my bladder to determine what should be done. On completion of this procedure, he showed me my entire bladder on the monitor and pointed out a tumor. Dr. Jamal demonstrated a very professional and caring approach to my situation and quickly arranged for a Biopsy on my bladder to remove the tumor. On completion it was confirmed that it was cancerous and high grade. Again in a very caring and empathizing manner he explained the various options to me and had a CT Scan conducted on my Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis which confirmed that the cancer had not spread to the other parts of my body. After consulting with other professionals in his field, he recommended that I undergo a six weeks BCG (Bacillus Calmette Guerin) treatment for Bladder Cancer. On Completion of the BCG treatment an appointment was made for me to have a second Biopsy done on January 26,2019. Today, My wife and I met with Dr. Jamal at CVH Credit Valley Hospital for the results of the 2nd Biopsy. He confirmed that the cancer had not returned and gave us a copy of all the results. We are so very delighted with the manner in which Dr. Munir Jamal handled our medical issue and we would strongly recommend him to anyone. As a matter of fact a very close friend of ours was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and he was attended to by Dr. Jamal. Our close friend spoke in glowing terms of Dr. Munir Jamal's attention to his medical situation. Dr. Jamai, my wife and I are truly indebted to you for your professional and empathizing approach to my medical issue. May God continue to bless you and your family. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

My husband had prostate cancer removed back in 2009 and regularly had check ups annually with Dr. Jamal. His PSA readings began to rise after 5 years of clear readings but was brushed off by Dr. Jamal as not concerning. My husband continued annual check ups and his PSA continually rose at which time he insisted on hormone shots which he started last year. Unfortunately even after a check up with Dr. Jamal in December 2017, my husband passed away March 29 2018 of prostate cancer that had metastasized in the lymph nodes undetected by this doctor, his CT scan done by another hospital for admission with incredibly high creatinine (440) showed multiple masses throughout his chest, abdomen and groin area, his kidneys stopped functionally because the masses had been blocking the urethra and eventually the cancer made its way to his brain where he developed encephalitis and within 8 weeks he had passed away. This was all detected by a local hospital in Orangeville and then on to Brampton hospital all the while he was under Dr. Jamal's care and this was never detected. Had he been properly followed up over the last 8 years he would have been able to have the masses treated as we were told by Brampton Hospital but it was detected too late. I just can't understand how someone had so much cancer that was from his original prostate cancer 8 years ago that obviously one cell got away and developed and metastasized over all these years and was NEVER detected. What was the purpose of the annual follow ups? My husband would be alive today had it been detected and treated years ago, instead I watched him rapidly get sicker and sicker in a short 8 week period after been diagnosed in early February 2018 he passed the end of March 2018. I am so disappointed with Dr. Jamal and he is after care/follow up. My husband loved dealing with the Dr. but I can tell you I am so upset and disappointed with his follow up care. I would not recommend this doctor for prostate cancer treatment.
