John runs a tight ship

Found myself in a very unfortunate situation but the lady working there was super nice and helped a lot to reassure and comfort just by being very nice. :)

The service was ok but they did't say the total price, they ride extra cost. Until the end they make you pay the double. Will never use them I will make sure

Would not recommend… I was in a tough spot and received a tow from John/JF Towing ~2 weeks ago. I was grateful for the tow but the process felt unprofessional as he wrote down my credit card number after dropping the car off without providing an invoice or break down of the cost. I looked at my cc statement the next day and was shocked at what I was charged. John had said he would drop a cop of the invoice off with my car the next day but as far as I know this was not done. I followed up with him and inquired on the charges. He provided a breakdown and after crunching the numbers independently, he had overcharged by ~$70 with his excuse being that he’d ‘not written down the mileage of the tow’. To his credit he did reimburse me. Still a little concerned with the cost of the tow, I followed up with a local competitor and they provided a quote for what they would have charged. JF’s services were almost $100 more than their competitors for the same job. I’d not value getting to meet and speak with John (owner/operator of JF) at that amount. Finally, the bike rack I had on the car was bent when it was unloaded. I brought this to John’s attention. He was dismissive and after he agreed to pay the $70 for the overcharge on mileage, I decided to cut my loses. Obviously I’m a little stung by my experience with JF, hence the expansive review. In summary, find someone else if at all possible and, if you have to use JF, ask explicitly for a quote before having them come tow your car. Scrap King (above referenced competitor charges ~25% less per kilometre) and, overall, seem to be much more pleasant to deal with.

They didn't have any drivers available but the owner told me if I couldn't find anyone else he was willing to drive from his house to help. It meant a lot that he as willing to drop everything on Christmas Eve to help. I found another way but he was very nice to me when others weren't.
