I wish I could say I had a good experience at IWHC but feeling particularly uncomfortable since leaving the clinic. I was in there for about three hours in total, which is understandable considering there only seemed to be one doctor and many people waiting on a Monday morning. It was only until I was called into a back room of the clinic in a rushed manner about some ‘controversy of information’ I had allegedly given, which was a mistake if anything but not intentional; I was not even allowed to sit down and felt very unsettled as we were standing at either side of the desk across from each other while she demanded to know whether the symptoms I was experiencing were abnormal or not, while I was still confused myself if it was simply a natural side-effect of the contraception I was taking anyway. Then when I was called to the see the counseller once again, she couldn’t answer my queries about the medication and seemed quite unsympathetic saying I should have asked the doctor at the time, which is fair except it didn’t cross my mind then, so now I have been prescribed a pill I feel uncertain about myself but do not have the time to address since I could not afford to sit in the waiting for another hour or so when I had to go to work. Still, I’m sure IWHC is perfectly accommodating, and this does not diminish the fact it is an invaluable, free service for others.

I had a great experience at IWHC Toronto. The doctor was very gentle during my Pap test. The counselor that talked to me before the doctor was very nice and professional. The wait is totally worth. Thanks for the amazing services you provide.

Extremely rude receptionist. Laughed at every question I asked her and then put me on hold suddenly. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Never even booked appointment.

Do not bother to waste your time to book an appointment here. I tried booking an appointment several times with this place. I have been lied to, denied multiple times to make an appointment even though I have called first thing in the morning multiple times (without stop), and they tell me in the most passive aggressive tone that they are just fully booked. The first time I tried booking with them is when they told me that I have to try to call them an hour before closing to book an appointment. I did that, they told me they were fully booked and then they told me to call first thing in the morning (as soon as they open). Next day, I called them first thing in the morning and waited on my phone until the clock said, 9:00AM. I call multiple times and more than half my calls get rejected and some go through to go to voicemail. As soon as my call went through to an actual person, they tell me that they just got booked by another client. Then, they asked in the most passive aggressive tone, "aw, is this your first time booking an appointment?" No sweetie, I've been trying to reach out for weeks to your fake clinic with these "made up" bookings. She tells me that there are multiple "other" people answering the phone and the booking can be placed quickly. My question is, what are these "other" people? I have been trying to get a hold of an appointment for weeks and I have been talking to the same lady with the same voice! I understand that they are currently only accepting one person per day with appointments due to COVID-19. I firmly believe that they are either giving people misinformation for booking appointments or directly and fully lying to anybody that calls to try to book an appointment. I do not understand why this place is still open if they claim to have services that they do not give through misinformation and dishonesty.

It’s been three weeks and I still can’t book an appointment with them. I’m calling during their opening hours but no one picks up the phone. I work the night shift, I stay up an extra 2-3 hours to wait for your clinic to open to ATTEMPT at booking an appointment for a Pap test. Ridiculous, honestly. You get a one star because I can’t go any lower

Worst experience ever. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME TO BOOK WITH THEM. The receptionist sounds extremely rude and passive aggressive. I was expecting it to be a safe and non judgmental space. I was only hoping to book a pap test and the receptionist made me feel so shameful of myself and uncomfortable. She ended up hanging up on me when I haven't done talking. Extremely unprofessional!

If you're looking for a safe, judgement-free environment while undergoing an incredibly uncomfortable procedure, i.e. pap test, don't go here. The staff lack compassion to their patients and will make you wait with the undeniable feeling of being forgotten, although you are not permitted to be late. All my sympathy to being overworked and maybe understaffed but the way in which the procedure went, how I was spoken to and treated was beyond clinical, bordering on rude with zero compassion.

Today was my second time having a Pap test at this clinic. The first time I had no problems, but today I left feeling violated and extremely uncomfortable. While the staff were kind, the doctor was incredibly rude and judgemental with all of her questions. When I got undressed for the procedure, I requested privacy (usually this is assumed!) but she refused to leave and made me feel foolish for asking. During the procedure, she seemed incredibly frustrated that I was not “relaxed” as she made aggressive comments and snickered in a way that felt belittling. I’ve never left a Pap test feeling this way before. I hope this clinic speaks with their doctors about abusive behaviour for patients in a vulnerable position. A doctor having a bad day does not justify this kind of behaviour.
