J	Janet E Forgie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved into 195 Clearview ave in April 2018 and really love my corner 2 bedroom /2 bathroom apartment. The sunsets are amazing and the view is gorgeous. The building built in 1960 is a little dated but very well maintained. A shout out to Yvan the Super for working so hard and for always being so pleasant. The cleaning staff also work hard to keep the building very clean. Maria is very pleasant to deal with in the office and I enjoy talking with her. Great location and quiet place to live. M	Michael Reid on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is great. 4/5 The apartment is large and good value for the money. 3/5 The maintenance staff are fantastic and very friendly. 5/5 The management are probably overworked and don’t have the time to meet the needs of the tenants. IPT Corp. should probably hire some more property managers. Even though they are over worked it doesn’t give them license to be rude and treat tenants like second class citizens. Maybe some management and customer service training is in order. 0/5 For the last 4+ months labourers have been working on the concrete patios. The noise is truly awful and pretty much unbearable between the hours of 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. The noise from the drilling and chipping is so loud that my apartment is inhabitable . It is unconscionable that the IPT management would do this project during a pandemic. My heart goes out to the elderly tenants whom are not able to leave the building and must suffer daily. The management should give each tenant a rebate in rent. The rebate should be 20% of the monthly rent. I believe that an online petition for rent reduction is in the works, and that several calls to the media have already been made. 0/5 Overall rating 2/5
R	Rob M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been at this building more than 5 years, have never had a problem that wasn't fixed immediately. Have one of the best superintendents I've ever experienced in my life. Best price views and location in the city. Management have always been professional and courteous.
J	Jenny Voss on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The units are advertised as having AC, but surprise surprise, it’s 30 degrees out and the AC isn’t on and tenants are being told that it won’t be until June. The heat was only turned off on May 10, despite Homestead knowing that a major heat wave was coming. It’s supposed to be 36 degrees for the next 4 days and tenants and pets are being left to suffer. Not to mention, the property manager is useless. She never responds to emails. Find somewhere else to live if you’re considering here.

Took them 5 months to fix the damages, meanwhile the apartment above that caused the issue was fixed within the same day. I guess if you're ok with third world country quality of living for the price of living in downtown Toronto then this is the place for you ! This is because of new management any review prior to around September is to be disregarded since the landlords have changed.
S	Shaily Allison on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really surprised at the poor reviews… Honestly this is a really great apartment complex to live in. The location is amazing (quiet part of Westboro but extremely easy to walk to the river, walk to Westboro or Wellington Village or take transit downtown in 10 mins!) The walls are concrete and can’t hear the neighbours very much. These are older buildings (1960’s) and there is definitely work that needs to be done, which the new ownership/management company (Homestead) is doing! So yes, there is construction noise at times, but management has been good about communicating to residents about which floors at what times and it rarely bleeds outside of regular business hours. In my experience, management is very quick to respond when anything breaks or isn’t working and the staff are very friendly. But, they naturally have had a few growing pains since taking over the property in late summer 2021. They keep the property very clean and there’s always friendly staff onsite. With regards to the reviews of people complaining about smoking: it’s a smoke free property, however, tenants who signed leases before the policy went into effect are grandfathered and are allowed to smoke in their unit (same as any other building). I personally have rarely smelled any smoke. Most people seem to use their balcony, or go outside off the property (which is what you’re supposed to do). Lots of elderly folks and really friendly neighbours here. Some have lived here a very long time and don’t enjoy the changes happening unfortunately. Overall, this is by far the best value for the money in the area.
J	Julie Dicaire on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm only giving this a star because there's no option not to give any. Now under new ownership who appear to not care at all about their tenants. They allow cigarette smoking indoors despite making tenants sign a non-smoking policy. Complaints about the smell are ignored. The lady in the office is incredibly rude and hangs up on people. There's been construction happening consistently for the past 2 years with lots more in the works. Not well sound insulated so you can hear neighbours easily. The only redeeming quality is the maintenance staff who are incredibly nice. I'm staying cause I was here first and I'm stubborn. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else though. There are so many other options around here this place is not worth it.
