The owner is just amazing as well; when I was pregnant last year; I would have cravings for her food and she would make it for me, even when it was not on the menu for that day. She is very kind and always has a smile on her face.

We ordered the oxtai with rice and peas. The oxtail was proper. Lots of good flavour and it was cooked well. (nothing worse than getting some hard oxtail) it was actually better than Niceys in Scarborough. I'll be going back to try other menu items.

I ordered a large Mackerel breakfast with a side order of plantain and a veggie patty. And let me tell you, the mackerel with the sweet potato, boiled dumpling, and green banana was seasoned from top to bottom. The way the festival was made reminded me of how my uncles used to make it in a ball and cut into four pieces not the festival I see some restaurants make these days. The food was fresh, the veggie patty was by far the best veggie patty I have ever had. I will definitely be ordering again whether through Uber Eats or pick-up!! Finished the food prior to taking a picture!!!

How can ackee n saltfish, Jamaica's national dish have no salt? What we received had no salt and tasted off. Fried dumpling was hard and tough and full of oil. They tasted off. Threw them away. Fried plantain was soggy. My guess is that we received left overs, end day food and/or food that had been cooked in old oil. This food was ordered on Jamaica's Independence Day but didn't represent the excellence of Jamaican cooking. Shame!

The saltfish and food was bland in taste, no salt in the saltfish, the food was bland I'm taste. A little stingy on the ackee portion but I've had worse. This place has potential, it's hard to find a good place with good ackee and saltfish. Overall I was satisfied with my order today ☺

We wanted to give this place another shot but I would not go here or reccomend this place going forward. Each time we ordered ox tail it was tough and hard. The chicken is always hard as well. When eating the chicken you can tell it's old. I didn't even finish my meal. Very disappointed. The plantain was soggy as well. There are much better places to get Caribbean food in Pickering. Would not recommend getting food here.
