His report was very comprehensive with inspection methods, observations and recommedations. He also included pictures to show how things should be normally and what are the deviations. I would highly recommend Dave for home inspections.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired David at the recommendation of the realtor, Catherine Lafreniere at Royal LePage, who was selling this home on behalf of the vendor. Unfortunately, after six months of living in this home and experiencing the first winter, I see he made MANY mistakes in my inspection report and was not thorough at all. In fact, it seems to be more of a cut and paste from a template inspection report. Numerous mistakes include the types of windows (mine are wood, yet he indicates they are all PVC), the insulation he claims to be to code but code perhaps in the 1980s and not in this century (insulation experts have confirmed this) and the roof is metal tin yet he concluded it was asphalt. I have contacted him on a few occasions as I wanted to know how he inspected the HVAC system but I do not get a response. This is a 2,400 sq ft home that would normally take 4hrs plus to inspect. He did it in 2hrs. He used thermal imaging only on one window which was south facing. There is no mention in the report of where CO2 and fire detectors need to be as they are missing completely from this house. He doesn't mention a need for a professional fireplace inspection when it is a wood burning fireplace. There are many issues he did not present to us (as we feel being a friend of the realtor who likely urged him to not present any issues so she could realize a sale) and if he did, we would have walked away from the home purchase or negotiated a much lower purchase price. Replacing the doors and windows alone will cost more than $30,000 plus taxes and I have the professional quote to back this up. His report says the windows do not need replacing. I would not recommend David for these reasons.

He walked me through everything during the inspection and answered all my questions with such great detail and expertise. I highly recommend him and will gladly reach out if I need an inspection in the future!
