About Inland Truck & Equipment

Inland Truck & Equipment is comprised of five successful business entities:

  • Heavy truck sales
  • Heavy equipment sales
  • Truck leasing and rental
  • Parts
  • Service

Each of these contributes in a unique way to the overall corporate health of the company. It is this close integration between them that has played a large role in Inland growing to over 1,500 employees and spanning from the Yukon in Canada’s North to California, Arizona, and New Mexico in the South.

It starts with one.

The origins of Inland date back to the late 1940s when founder Lloyd Parker launched Parker Pacific Equipment, selling US war surplus vehicles for use in Canada. Less than a decade later, Mr. Parker’s success led him to start Inland Kenworth, opening his first dealership in 1957. As one of the first Kenworth dealers in Canada, expectations from customers wanting a premium quality truck were high. Mr. Parker knew that and prepared himself and his staff to deliver.

Customer service focus brings rapid expansion.

By the end of the 1960s, Inland had grown to 10 dealership locations, all following the integrity and customer service focus of Mr. Parker himself. The staff was treated well and many spent their entire career with Inland.

1980s – Inland broadens its footprint internationally.

The 1980s were a time of both economic prosperity and hardship. With high interest rates and an economic recession, many organizations focused solely on surviving. Despite these challenging times, Inland had its sights set on expansion and acquired Southern California Kenworth dealerships in Fontana and Los Angeles as well as a dealership in Phoenix, Arizona.

Inland expands eastward in the U.S.

The early 2000s were good to Inland as the company acquired Kenworth dealerships in Albuquerque and Farmington, New Mexico and opened a dealership in Tucson, Arizona. The Los Angeles dealership was moved to Montebello to make it more convenient to access and enable it to accommodate more customers. By the early 2010s, Inland opened locations in Carson and San Diego to continue delivering our trademark customer service.

Parts for every truck.

Inland realized that more customers were seeking out quality, cost-effective parts that fit any make or model of truck. In 2016, Inland opened an Inland TRP Parts store in Dawson Creek, which specializes in All-Makes parts.

Inland expands into the Canadian Prairies.

To provide more support for customers traveling across Canada, Inland acquired Custom Truck Sales – a Kenworth dealer in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This added six locations to Inland and provided invaluable insight into how another successful dealership operates.

Grown on good value.

Now, with more than 30 dealerships around North America, Inland is one of the oldest and largest Kenworth dealers in the world and we are the premier provider of heavy equipment in Western Canada. We value our long-standing relationship with Kenworth, which has played a key role in our growth and success since the late 1950s.

Liner protrusion done by their tech who is building engines from last 25 years apparently lol. These measurements looks like some homework you scribbled down to turn in at school so you didn't get in trouble. If not that's the most impressive even wearing engine anyone have ever seen. What are the odds that they are all. 008? Looks like a pencil whip job. Worst service in the city. Don’t buy or take your truck at this location.

Even though the name is different today, you still get the same friendly and knowledgeable staff. The dealership has a great atmosphere, and is well laid out. I always feel welcome walking in the door! Richard P knows his trucks, and will definitely deal with him next time I am in the market for a new Kenworth truck!

I would like management to know about an outstanding experience I had with your service department. I called in and spoke with Justin. I told him about an issue I was having, he asked if I could come in and verify the problem. After determining what was wrong (front differential) he and his team had it completed within 24 hours. He did an excellent job with keeping me informed and his understanding of my situation was greatly appreciated. Justin and his team are serious about providing outstanding service. I highly recommend them. Thank you!

As an owner operator I wouldn’t recommend this dealership. Sales department makes lots of promises but seldom delivers. They keep telling they’re busy with big projects which is fine but then don’t tell me you’d like my business as well
