Best Indian grocery store in Canada

M	M Z on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice store with friendly staff, the store itself is not too big, but it has all the Desi stuff of India and Pakistan. All kinds of beans and Daals, vegetables, rice, masalas, snacks, cookies, drinks, deserts, all masala variety, Nimko as well as some exotic Desi items which are hard to find like Zeera or fennel seeds etc. The space is limited inside as the store is not too big but you'll get everything there which is needed for your curry or biryani :)

This is the only place in Waterloo I could find that sells any Indian spice you could ever be looking for, and they also have a wide assortment of other subcontinent staples, like tomatoes, ginger, hot chili peppers, chili sauces, dates, rice, etc. For a specialty grocery store, the prices are actually very reasonable too, and there is even a student deal where if you pay with debit or cash and have a student card on hand you can get 5% off. I am a particular fan of their sweet chili sauce in the back, their collection of Indian sweets like fresh jaggery, and their mangoes. The owners are wonderful people, always kind and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back once I use up these spices!

I purchased a block of cheese, which by the way is sold here without the outer carton on which the expiry date is written, and it was priced at 26 dollars. The next week I went to the Indian store near Fairview mall and got double the quantity at 32 dollars. I had read good reviews online and the lady I spoke to was quite helpful so I decided to check it out but I'm pretty sure I won't visit again.
