About IFSSA - Islamic Family and Social Services Association
IFSSA would like to acknowledge that we are located on the traditional lands, referred to as Treaty 6 Territory, and that the City of Edmonton and all of our staff, clients and people here are beneficiaries of this peace and friendship treaty. Treaty 6 encompasses the traditional territories of numerous western Canadian First Nations such as the Cree, Saulteaux (So-toe), Blackfoot, Métis, Dene (De-nay) and Nakota Sioux (Sue). IFSSA acknowledges all the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit people who have called this area home since time immemorial.

It is because of this organisation and the lovely ladies I met that day I have still have faith in humanity...... JazaAllah!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have been business neighbours for almost 20 years at their south Edmonton location. They do a fabulous job supporting the Islamic community with food, clothing, home supplies, etc. They also provide counselling. If you need help or wish to donate to their cause give them a call. Be aware that the south side location is only open on weekends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found the staff is very polite and helpful. They are only available on weekends. But during working hours they will answer your phone and will provide the necessary information you are looking for. I am very happy with their services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing organization! I have seen it grow over the years. It’s the only Muslim organization i know of in Edmonton that produces a professionally done Annual Financial report that provides information on how funds are used. Unlike mosques that are no transparent. I have been a monthly donor as I know they help the less fortunate and always work at improving their services.
I have great respect for all those who work there. Both the staff and the board come from a diverse ethnic and professional background which says a lot about the type of organization IFSSS is.
