Iconic Hair Studio

WORST experience EVER. I booked an appointment two weeks ago which was the earliest date available. It turned out that I came in to receive a cold and unfriendly welcome and learn that the stylist is "not comfortable working with short hair". I have never been to this studio, and the stylist did not ever bother to ask me over the phone if I had short or long hair. I wasted two weeks of my time to wait, then I wasted time coming there and leaving the Studio without getting my hair done. Disrespectful and unprofessional attitude! Will not recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going to Iconic Hair Studio for almost a year now and I always have a great experience each time I come here! All the girls are very friendly and Diana is awesome and always makes sure I get the colour I want and that suits me best every time! Highly recommend this hair studio for anyone that needs their hair cut and coloured!

Horrible experience. I booked a full balayage appt a month out since they’re so busy. A day before the appt, Leda cancels because she’s sick. She doesn’t even bother to reschedule an appt right away, it was like pulling teeth. The next date available on their website was another month out! She gave me a temporary date but says she may cancel it again if she has to and to look at other salons in the meantime. The date came and I got to go for my full balayage appt. I even paid for a full balayage appt, due to their website prices. Tell me why when I got home, I noticed NO colour all throughout my head, the colour was mainly just on the top of my head. I called to ask Leda about it and she was pretty adamant that I paid for a HALF balayage. It was never communicated to me that I was getting a half job done. She also said “why would you even want colour in the back? No one will see it”. If that’s what the customer wants, why does it matter? So incredibly rude & unprofessional. Don’t bother wasting your time at this poorly run business.

Had our hair and makeup done for a wedding. Stylist was great and got all three of us done within 2 hours. Makeup service was also great, turned out beautifully.

The hairstylists are friendly, approachable and professional. I'm always warmly greeted by someone when I enter the salon. Each and every one of them is superb but I like to go see Leda for any of my haircuts. She's friendly, conversational, transparent, and she knows what styles I like and executes it. I wouldn't even consider going for short hair again if it wasn't done by Leda.

I’m editing my previous review (below). The owner of the saloon (sorry I don’t remember the name), called me a couple of days after I posted my 2 stars review. We spoke about my issues, and she booked me in for the following day to see what can be done to fix my hair. We spoke about the damages bleaching does to natural hair, and the fact that I have knots now seems to be normal. She also gave me professional shampoo and conditioner to try at home, and proposed to toner my hair, but I didn’t want to do anything else to my hair, so I accepted the products, but not the toner. I won’t do anything to my hair until they grow longer, and then I’ll think of what to do. I won’t bleach them again, that’s a fact. I appreciate the phone call and the attention. She was very professional and obviously she wants her clients to be satisfied. I’ll try the products and keep babying my hair with good hair products and vitamins. I’ll leave my previous review below and change my review to 4 stars. I cannot give 5 stars since I don’t like the hair style, but 4 seems fair. 2021-08-10 I waited a couple of months before writing this review, I was trying to like my new hairstyle, but at the end, I really don’t like it. I booked a consultation with Dana first, and I had a nice chat and a good sensation. Showed pictures of what I wanted, and we decided color and style. I had to wait for a month for my appointment, which I didn’t mind and the fact they were very busy made me more confident about choosing this saloon. After three hours working on my hair, the result was very different from what I asked, I like the color, but my hair were too short and the style wasn’t exactly what I wanted. Came home, and my husband didn’t like it either. I told myself I should just get use to it, that maybe is not too bad. After a couple of months, I am still disappointed. Beside not matching the hairstyle picked, my second issue is the product used for coloring. Every time I shower, my hair becomes straw: difficult to wash, a lot of knots, always have to wash them three times and by the time I'm done with shampoo, conditioner and comb, I find myself with the shower drain full of hair. I’m using expensive and natural products to help my hair getting stronger since they are super thin, and the situation now is even worse. My experience can be summarized to damaged hair and unsatisfactory hairstyle. Probably was just bad luck, I don’t know, but I’m not happy. I’m not coming back to this saloon.

I haven’t even become their customer yet. Tried to book online, got canceled twice with no reason. Next day I checked the spot I booked was gone. Tried calling them twice and left voicemail. Didn’t bother respond ? There are so many good salons out there. Already booked with another one, much easier system. They really need to watch their system. I guess they don’t even care if they lose customer or not since they are so busy?
