HÜR Beauty - Calgary

Our passion for the esthetics industry started many years ago! As young girls, we loved anything to do with beauty and ways to share that passion with others. Combined, Laurette and Sara have over 25 years experience in the esthetics industry.

We launched HÜR Beauty in May 2020. HÜR is a Turkish word for independent, free and liberal. We believe that the lash artists that we've been privileged to know share these qualities. So, we wanted to combine our love for beauty and luxurious products with estheticians worldwide.

In the last 5 years, we have worked extensively in the lash industry, using many products in a variety of environments. We hand tested each product with a dedication to ensuring the success in every detail. Our goal is that you value our beautiful selection of the highest quality professional lash supplies, accessories and beauty room products.

Sara started her career in aesthetics at the age of 18 after she graduated high school attending Marvel College with a focus on nails and makeup. Continuing with her love of the beauty industry, Sara developed further over the years with multiple courses including pedicures, spa treatments, relaxation massages, sugaring & waxing, lash lifts & tint, spray tans, brow tinting waxing & laminations, powder brows microblading and in recent years, focusing her attention on lash extensions. She valued the experiences of working in Salons and Spas and meeting different estheticians that shared her passion for the industry. At the age of 21, Sara started her own business doing aesthetics in Saskatoon, along with teaching gel nails. Always taking satisfaction and fulfillment from making people feel beautiful about themselves, Sara’s love for esthetics has always been a source of joy.

Laurette began her career in the IT industry and for many years, worked in oil and gas and the airline industry. After having children, she was determined to start her own business to free up time to spend with her babies. She coupled her desire to make people look and feel their best with becoming her own boss in the beauty industry. One of the attributes she noticed most about people in the airlines was that women absolutely loved the way they looked when they had eyelash extensions. They were confident, felt good and were told so by many. So, equipped with the knowledge she could help people look amazing, Laurette began taking multiple certifications in Lash Lifts and Tints, Classic, Volume and Mega Volume Training. She has been a specialized mega volume artist for 4 years and continues to love lashes, her clients and growing her business. This passion propelled the founding of HÜR Beauty with her business partner and friend, Sara. 

Laurette and Sara share their passion for excellence and are always trying to achieve the best results possible.
