I give them a 3/5. My main issue is that the walls, ceilings and doors are thin, so it can be quite noisy. I also had a lot of appliance issues (broken fridge handle, beeping dryer, broken microwave), so it seems they didn't properly prepare the unit before I moved in. The site and maintenance managers are great, though. They addressed these appliance issues quickly. You can hear a lot of noise in the hallway, including people talking and elevators (I was not by the elevator). You can hear music/TV through the walls, and hear thumping from the ceiling. Downtown location is ideal, but that also means more noise, such as people yelling from the street. Proximity to the police station is not ideal--you will often hear sirens. The rent seems kind of high given these issues, but the building is technically on the newer side (2017?). Nonetheless, I would recommend it for someone in their early 20s who has a dog (there is a little dog area), wants to be close to downtown amenities, and wants a safe/secure building.

I have lived in the Hudson Walk Two since October 2019 and I love it. I had viewed other apartments in Victoria which were comparable in price, but did not include laundry and a dishwasher in the units. The building is always clean, and the management team are diligent about taking care of mandatory maintenance on things like fire alarms and elevators etc. The building is quiet and secure, and I feel safe living here. The gym and common room are modern, clean, and are barely used. I regularly look around to see what else is up for rent in Victoria and it is much cheaper to live here versus somewhere that is smaller and has less amenities. Lastly, the building manager (Von) is readily available and easy to talk to if there is anything you need.

Really good place to live. Good neighborhood, near downtown and close to Douglas (easy access to buses). The suit is well maintained. I've been living here for a year so far and had only two calls for maintenance, which was promptly handled by Jason. Also, Von does a very good job as a build manager and is always available to help. The only downside I would say is the price, but I guess it is within the average in this neighborhood. It is also pet friendly, has a playground and a gym. A good experience so far.

I have called Hudson Walk 2 home for over a year and I absolutely love living here. The units are fantastic, clean, and you can’t beat the downtown location. The bathtubs are deep and spacious which is amazing because water is included in the rent ! Everyone who works for the building is really great. When I walk passed the office my dog loses it because she loves the rental manager so much. They definitely love animals here which is so lovely as it’s so hard to find pet friendly living. I highly recommend living here.

I’d like to express my deep dissatisfaction with the rental office admin for Hudson Walk One/Two. There is an older individual, who I will not name, that is very unpleasant to communicate with. I recently moved out and she completed my move-out inspection. She was very rude to me, and I felt like she was insulting my intelligence. I believe the move-out inspection is normally done by the site manager, but they had recently left (his name was Von and he was great). As a previous review said, be prepared to pay for 4 hours of cleaning charges (i.e. $200) even if your unit was cleaned thoroughly. When I rented with Devon Properties they were totally fine with the same level of cleaning. Allegedly there were "bugs in the lights", "the balcony wasn't cleaned", "the shower has residue" and "this counter isn't clean [she says rudely, as she runs her finger on it lol]". I paid because I didn’t want to deal with the rental office person anymore. Also, I can confirm that you must get your blinds β€œprofessionally cleaned” and provide an original receipt. My word of caution: either never move in, or never move out, or else you will pay the $200 and be subjected to the rental office admin woman. I can understand she probably has to deal with a lot of young people that she can’t stand, and is jaded, but she was rude right from the gate. To Peterson Rentals, please reconsider who you want to be the face of your customer service. The 2 stars are for Von.

I have lived in the Hudson Community for almost four years. I've moved three times, first finding an apartment with a better view and finally finding an apartment with a better view again and more space. I have always been very impressed with the Rental Tenancy Office and Laurel in particular. The contract is clearly explained and executed - expected behaviour and quiet times, cleaning requirements, lease terms, etc. I have appreciated the constant communication and adherence to the contract that the Hudson and Laurel provide. I have read a few reviews and it's clear to me that those that are unhappy with the implementation of the contract terms they have signed onto are being given a microphone to complain but are really expressing their ignorance and lack of understanding. I highly recommend living at the Hudson and working with Laurel to maintain a healthy and happy community.

We've been living at walk two for two years. Central location makes life so much easier. Very secured building makes you feel safe. Great admin team that are super supportive and helpful. The building itself is very well maintained as well. The maintenance team are always around if you need anything. There is even an area for dogs! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice pet friendly apartment in downtown area!

I lived here for a year. Giving one star for Von, who no longer works there but was very friendly and helpful. The rest deserves zero stars. I paid for cleaners to come and make the apartment spotless for my move out and they still charged me $400 for more cleaning. I was specifically told the oven and stove needs 3 hours minimum to clean… umm, what?!? I ordered takeout the entire time I lived there and never used the oven once. Plus there were multiple break ins to the bike locker but they won’t allow bikes in the suites despite them being unable to provide proper security to tenants for storage options. Finally, the managers are the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Rude and unprofessional behaviour was demonstrated throughout my move out experience. Due to the housing crisis these employees are untouchable and can do no wrong but beware any prospective or current tenants, don’t bother to clean for your move out because they’ll get their money from you one way or another. They will try to take advantage of you, know your rights as a tenant and take them to the tenancy branch for arbitration if they try to force bogus charges on you like they did to me. The place was nice but the experience was ruined by my treatment from the management team there.
