Selling expired noodle. They cut the plastic wrap and wipe off the expiry date but u can still see the mark of the print. Didnt go back to return kinda far from my place. Bought today 10/05/2022. Expired on 07/11/2021

This supermarket has a great variety of products to buy but the corridors are busy and there are many people trying to walk and having difficulty. The prices for vegetables and fruits are great. They have a lot of meat and fish in the back of the store.

I went to this grocery to get some Chinese snacks, veggies and fruits. Not recommended at all!! I found that the fresh noodle I got has already been stale, they add a layer of good noodle on the top of the stale one, and wrap them up so you won’t notice it at the store. Also the dried persimmon got moldy badly. Beside the food quality, the indoor environment is busy and messy, and the staffs are rude as well. They will yell at customers to move. When you check out, they will charge an extra 2 dollars if you use foreign visa card, even though it works with no problem and no extra fee in any other store. They do have a notice about the minimum payment for using debit or credit card at the cashier, but it didn’t mention about the foreign Visa card fee at all, and they knew this common issue but they will tell you after you had made the payment.

Great varieties and great finds. However, we bought a couple of stuff and it was already opened. For example, we got coconut milk in a box and it was already opened. The staff are all so rude, I asked one of them where green curry paste is. She’s was like i don’t know and just walked away. Like okay??

Hua Sheng Supermarket It's located in front of Spadina on Chinatown. It's always crowded. The price is acceptable and cheaper than other places around downtown. The quality of goods aren't so good. The fruits are cheap and fresh. The price of salmon is acceptable and reasonable. I recommend it for buying fruits and fish.

Great place to get fresh cheap produce. Fish aren't as fresh as I'd like but meat looks good. Of course you can get all of the sauces, oils and condiments you need like anywhere on Spadina.

Dropping by this grocery to get fruits and veggies, some prices are good, and they do have many Chinese ingredients. Aside from that, I don’t think it’s worthy to go. Busy and messy inside, staffs are rude. A guy yelled at people to get out of his way. Also, be careful they will charge you extra 50 cents if you pay a small amount with the credit card. So, you could immerse yourself like going back to China surrounding by their products, but with their customer service, hell no, definitely pull you back to the reality in a sec…

Fresh produce, authentic Chinatown supermarket with narrow aisles and meat/seafood service counters in the back! Constantly well stocked items, cashiers are quick to check out your items. Lots of diverse products and generally has the items you need for Asian cooking. Staff are all quick and straight to the point. Also helps to know or bring an image of what you're looking for if it's something foreign. Worth popping in for a quick shop. Just be warned, it's always busy here!
