Whether you are hunting, fishing or enjoying the great outdoors, There is no better place to do it than Fer A Cheval. It starts with the people they are welcoming, accommodating and do everything to make your experience the best it can be! I have had 9 trips: 1-Bird hunting x1 2-Fishing trout and walleye (family) x3 3-Guided bear hunt x2 4-Guided moose hunt (3rd week) x3 All with the cleanest up to date facilities and the best people I have ever met at a pourvoirie in Qc. And yes, meals that you can find in the best places downtown Montreal. I would highly recommend this as a destination to see Quebec's wilderness. I have booked my guided moose hunt in the fall !!! So it's the Fall of 2015 and we (4) had just an awesome guided moose hunt at Fer A Cheval. The words once again are: a professional guide and top shelf service from everyone! We had multiple moose sightings and finally yes our bull down on day 4. A nice bull was a great reward, however the journey and memories of the hunt with family and friends in this world class pourvoirie is worth every penny. Thank you Francois & Benoit, Our group saw many quality moose during our hunt. We saw many females and young calves to trophy bulls. Some of us even had opportunity to put one of these very large bulls on the ground. However, this was not the case this year. Hunting is about enjoying and respecting the outdoors and learning along the way. I came to Fer a Cheval because I admit I did and still don’t know enough about moose. Now, thanks to you and your guides, every year I have a better understanding of moose and their habits. 1)First year it was the listening and watching the guides. Learned silent clothing, wind moose habitat just after the rut. 2)This year it was about walking like a moose which I failed! (busted by the bull who know people walk heel-toe on lumber roads and moose walk on toes). Others in our group understood they need the ability to get on game early and will be working on skeet shooting along with the target range. *** UPDATE *** This year we brought is a mature bull to 35 yards. We walked and talked like a moose. Until you follow a quality guide in the bush for years and understand what he is doing. I believe you are just lucky. Locating, a territory plan, playing the wind and moose-like movements and sounds. You have to go into the bush and these techniques bring in a 1200lb bull like he was on a rope!!! *** It was a hunt like no other *** Of course, it goes without saying that your people and your management of your exclusive territory is second to none! with awesome food!!! Snowmobiling trip. Good service. Small rooms. Good food. Gas. A little inflexible with their scheduled meal times.

Amazing atmosphere! The food was delicious and very well prepared. Staff was extremely helpful with any question! The rooms are big and clean! Very nice how you can walk inside to go anywhere within the resort. As a snowmobile it was great to be right on the trail with gas to fill up!
