The doctor did not call the healthcare surrogate until 3 days after my mother was in that hospital . After a week of being admitted and we taught that the hospital did not allowed any visitors ,we discovered through a friend that it was only that floor ,when confronted we were refer to the admnistration . The nursing staff is very caring but I have issue with the receptionist who tell me that the nurses are super busy and can not talk to me especially I was calling long distance . I am certain that the nurses are busy but when talking to them ,they answer most of my questions. This is not a very caring communication with the family .

Worst organisation ever. Scheduled to appear for a day surgery at 6am. We've been waiting in the line up for admission for 60 min and counting now. The line hasn't moved in 20 min. I really don't know why they ask about 40 patients to show up at the same time if they can't handle the workload. I wouldn't recommend this hospital if my life depended on it. I surely hope they are better organized for urgent cases or you may as well never leave this place!

Excellent patient attention. Congratulations to the administration for having a very professional staff, doctors, nurses and support employees in general. I stayed only three days during I received good medical attention, good meals and smiles.

On Sunday My husband went to the ER.. his right arm was swollen for a few days .. got there at 2:15pm came home 7:30ish .. prognostic: blot clot or infection or both.. they gave an antibiotic but had to go back yesterday for an ultrasound.. at 1:30.. did ultrasound by 3pm ( it’s a blood clot ) got another prescription and had to stop antibiotics) but had to be seen by an internist.. 7pm still waiting .. went to complain he told the person what if he’s gone do I stay until he comes back ? She went to check and told him to come today internist will see him at NOON..but must go thru triage AGAIN.. So with his prescription went to the pharmacy last night it is now app 7pm.. they couldn’t make out Dr’s name .. nor did she put her license #! so they had to call the hospital … almost 8pm and no help.. so He had to pay full price 69.00!! This morning he got to the hospital at 10am..gave his name at triage. Noon comes around no calls and lights are dimmed , lo and behold it’s lunch time!!! By 2:00pm he had it, he goes to triage to complain and they said OMG Mr …. I’ll find the dr ASAP.. 2:45 no dr… my husband left with the intention of going to our dr and maybe a REAL HOSPITAL!! So he got home 3:10pm and as he was watering the plants.. his cell rings, guess who , the DR. Calls.. He was irritated because My husband wasn’t there, He couldn’t put two words in to explain why he left .. dr said he wasn’t well and staff couldn’t find him blah blah blah.. now My husband once again is back at Santa f..ing Cabrini!!!! I already warned My husband , if there’s something wrong with me and need medical attention ASAP take me to either Maisonneuve / Rosemont or Jewish or Hôpital Vétérinaire Portage( My dog’s vet) or just let me die !!

I was scheduled for a day surgery at this hospital, so I came to the reviews here and saw that most people are giving bad reviews, so I was worried and this made me anxious. But here is my review for anyone who was in my place anxious and worried after reading others reviews. I have to say I was treated really well, my experience was really good and smooth. I was worried because I am not fluent in french, but all nurses were very helpful in speaking with me in English , even the ones who didn’t speak English were doing the effort to comfort me. The nurses were very caring, they explained to me everything. While I was in the day surgery room with other patients, the whole energy in the room was good. They care about hygiene and that patients are not left alone. When i had my surgery, I spoke with the anesthesiologist and he explained to me everything and took his time to understand my situation, and recommend whats best and comforted me. My surgeon also came to me before the surgery and explained to me the whole process and told me not to worry. I felt really good and relaxed. My surgery went well, woke up with team of nurses in the surgery room that were amazing, smiling and checking on me and reassuring that all went well. Then my surgeon came and also reassured that everything went well! They moved me again to the day surgery unit where I was with the second shift of nurses who were really amazing!!! They made sure i recover and feel good, they checked on me many times. They even started conversations with me that had nothing to do with hospitals and it was funny ! Finally they explained to me all the do and don’t c gave me the set of medications i should take and discharged me . For everyone worried, relax! You are in good hands. Despite the small size of the hospital, these people are doing their best to keep you safe and they are doing it fantastically!

I came with my sister to this hospital via ambulance. We waited here for 5 hours. No doctor called her for the 5 hours wait time. Finally, one of the nurses called and said that "please go to the clinic tomorrow and here is the paper". So we waited for 5 hours without seeing the doctor. This is ridiculous!

I arrived to the emergencies with hemorrhage as I am pregnant, the nurses didn't care about patients, there is no humanity and compassion , I was so tired and paintful for the blood I lose, wait more than 7 hours, and what they told me if you don't feel good here is not the prison you can return to your home, neither my pets have received that assistance never!

I have been receiving cancer treatment at Santa Cabrini for almost a year. I must say it felt like I was in a private clinic. Such a small hospital, but the oncology nurses are awesome - respectful, friendly, knowledgeable, and bilingual. The oncologist is also really good and kind. My only complaint may be the wait time on days for clinics (regular appts to see the oncologist ) can sometimes be pretty long....then again, I've had nowhere to go anyway, so I just read while I wait. The restaurant/cafe is pretty good too! I've always found free street parking, and Oh, and the bonus is that you can learn a little Italian while you're there!
