-examples: late or absent for interviews, rarely in the office, scheduling issues, lack of training provided (promised in the interview,) and overbooking the centre causing a hectic environment.
Unprofessional conduct of management:
-examples: having friends/family drop by the centre frequently, embarrass staff by yelling at them in front of their coworkers, showing up late and leaving early
Employment standards are not followed here
-examples : staff having to fight to get payed for preparation time, stat holidays and proper pay stubs.
Health & safety standards are not followed here
-examples: not being paid for time to seek medical treatment for a work related injury, say they "do not use WSIB" but do not offer anoth type of work related insurance.
I personally would not recommend working here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We live in Mississauga - Square One area, it is convenient for us to drop-of and pickup our child at their centre at Britannia and Hurontario . We tried other centres in Mississauga, but after carefully reviewing and assessing all the factors, I fully trust the staff at Hope Autism to take care of my child who is diagnosed with minor autism last year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Hope Autism Services last year September to get second opinion on my nephew's case as we were getting run around from every where including some big central agencies. Even though we didn't live in Mississauga; The principal (Kay) was very helpful in explaining the diagnosis process, funding programs available in Ontario etc.She was very open about our options available and didn't sugar coat anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I worked at Hope Autism as an Intern after completing my Autism diploma. I must say the majority of staff are very professional and by the books. I get to learn so much about the ABA and its strict guidelines and what should be done and how it should be done. This field is not for everyone - you have to be heartily passionate about autism, kids and community and i feel I was very fortunate to be part of this organization as my first job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to inquire about possible services for my child. The staff is well informed on the various therapies available for children with autism. They are highly motivated and skilled. However when I asked for a tour of the facility I was deeply disappointed. It was dirty, and very cold looking, no colour palette on the walls no carpet on the floor. It looked like a warehouse. The washroom was out of toilet paper and there were paper towels all over the floor. It is unfortunate because I wish the appearance of the place matched the enthusiasm of the educators.
