Unfortunately, after going to another establishment after dinner, the server that waited on us at the Hooded Merganser showed up and had her friend accost us regarding the tip our party left. There were 3 separate bills at our table and everyone tipped over 15%. The server had her male friend confront us aggressively and demand that we pay her some money immediately. I have never experienced an encounter so inappropriate.

Staff were friendly, but unfortunately they were either very understaffed or just incredibly inattentive, as we rarely saw our waitress. Both food and drinks took a really long time to come out, and since we didn’t see our waitress often, it took awhile to order either in the first place. There are better options around, especially at this price point.

Food was excellent and servings very generous. Had the ahi tuna poke bowl and highly recommend it!

We bonded over out doggies. The food was fantastic, fresh, and presented beautifully. We ordered three appies to share, the tuna tower, some oysters and the garlic roasted brie! The atmosphere was also so gorgeous, fantastic views and very clean. I'm definitely coming back for a nice dinner with my man next time!

They have the best views in Penticton. The drinks were good, calamari was delicious and they managed to get us some vegan options as well! Very satisfied with our visit!
