Mac Makenny has owned and operated the HPR since 1974, offering trail rides, corporate rides, lessons and special rides. He has been training horses and riders with a very calm and passionate teaching methode.
Mac has always been polite and helpful. He is a horseman through and through and for him comes first the health and safety for all of his horses and the rider! At the Homeplace Ranch everyone with the right attitute and respect for horses and owner is welcome. The horse chooses you...and the horse will show you if it wants to work with you! The Homeplace Ranch is the best place to relax, enjoy nature on a horseback and give yourself a break from the busy city life! Thanks for everything I learned!

If something you're looking for isn't listed on the site, just call Mac - it's a very accommodating place. From the drive there to the time on the saddle, it's a great way to spend a half day/ day in the mountains and hills.
