★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I received a quote from a person named Rose a few weeks ago and after subsequently sending three (3) follow up emails simply requesting further clarification or a phone call, I never received a response from anyone at Home Legal Cost after that date. After almost 2 weeks of receiving no responses regarding any of my subsequent emails, I emailed Home Legal Cost advising that I will be proceeding with a different lawyer and went with someone else. The new lawyer I went with got back to me regarding my questions the exact same day and the service I received from them was like night and day between the two companies. I would not recommend using Home Legal Cost to anyone who is purchasing or selling a home as the service is sub-par.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My real estate agent recommended this law firm when I purchased a pre-construction condominium. I'm glad I took her advice since I ended up needing an experienced lawyer who would advocate for me. There was a document I was considering signing post purchase that Mr. Shub provided helpful advice on. Also, Mr. Shub stepped in when the builder pressured me to sign an amendment to the agreement and showed no signs of flexibility. Because of Mr. Shub, the builder agreed to alter the amendment in my favour. Finally, I benefited from extra support around closing since the builder sent all the documents quite late. The phone service 7 days per week (even on Sunday morning!) is helpful when dealing with last minute issues. It was a stressful time & Mr. Shub and his team really went the extra mile. A special thank you to Ms. Yusiong, the law clerk who had the misfortune to have my file. (She had a courier standing by & made multiple calls to the builder, etc.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There wee few names in sequences of our transaction, and the most work has been by Navetha. Everything was in a system and order from start to end, and persistent. Excellent team, guiding you in most concise and direct way. Not one word or one minute more than really needed. And, Mr Shub is available until 11.00pm for your call!.
Certainly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Through recommendation from my real estate agent, I have retained service from Mr. Shub's law firm to complete a home sale transaction and a home purchase transaction. The home sale transaction was quick and easy. Although there were some issues with the home purchase transaction for reasons unrelated to the law firm, it was ultimately completed to my satisfaction. Law clerk Stella was especially diligent in resolving the hiccups and going out of her way to ensure that the deal is close without delays. I would certainly consider retaining their services again for my home sale and purchase needs in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My personal experience was a mixed bag. Some part of the transactions and interactions were very pleasant, while other interactions, including with Stephen Shub himself were not as pleasant. If you follow and play by their rules, and don't question anything - your transaction will be carried out, likely smoothly. From my own experience, some items were brought to our attention late - this is dependent on how good your law clerk is. My last transaction did not go as smooth and when it came down to a disagreement - it resulted in a unfriendly confrontation with Mr. Shub himself.
Prior experiences with Mario Zammit, Michael Keenan were both much more pleasant to work with from my personal opinion. Mario is more the conversational/friendly while Michael is a direct, transactional to the point type. Both would have been 4-5 star experiences.
Lastly, depending on your transaction, some qualify for a courtesy discount. As with the name, it appears discretionary.
Summary: Gets the job done, fair pricing, roll the dice for a good lawyer/clerk. Would I recommend? Not after my own last personal experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been clients of Mr. Shub's law office for many years. I have been recently talking to Mr. Shub directly for one of my most recent real estate transaction.
Mr. Shub is very sincere, hard working, helpful and professional each and every time of the conversation. Even though he has a huge law firm with many offices, he personally picks up the phone himself directly and provides support till 11 PM - 7 days a week and takes the time to answer every single email query, this kind of personal touch is very hard to find. My only suggestion is to open the head office for deposit drop offs in the weekends as the deadline is 24 hrs for offers accepted on a Friday or in the weekend.
Mr. Shub is very much accessible through the phone, does not hesitate to answer even the most simplest question, carefully reviews the offer documents and provides a professional feedback based on the current real estate laws.
I have also worked with Tharini and Mohamed for my past transactions. They are both knowledgeable and have helped me to complete the transaction with ease each and every time.
I truly appreciate the great work that Mr. Shub and his staff are doing, encourage to provide the same excellent customer service going forward and not be discouraged by the bad reviews as it's some people's tendency and nature to be dissatisfied and complain even if the best possible customer service was provided.
My brother and dad recently completed a transaction with his law firm, was very satisfied and our entire family will continue to be Mr. Shub's clients for many more years to come. Thank you Mr. Shub for the great service. Mr. Shub is a great role model in many aspects; I pray for his long, healthy and happy life.
