t	travelfunOntario1 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked 2 nights. Checked into room and no shampoo. Called housekeeping and they brought up more toiletries except shampoo. Receptionist talked to manager and said the order had arrived. Had to talk to reception 3x to get shampoo. Not enough towels in room. Was supposed to be an upgraded room overlooking river but the view was more of back of building. The hotel was not full so there was no reason not to have a better view/room. Parking extra, breakfast not included, restaurant very limited menu. Bathroom tight, door opens 1 inch from toilet. Great staff, comfy bed, good location. We did get our bill adjusted, so we will give this HI another try.
a	artplay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I enjoyed a nice stay at the Holiday Inn in Peterborough Ontario and it was located on the waterfront. We had a pet friendly hotel room which was very convenient for our stay for a couple of days. The first night we enjoyed a full moon on the river. I was impressed with the dog park and how clean it was for dog owners walking their dogs. The sliding glass door to the back patio was very convenient for walking the dog. The bathroom or the pool was not as nice as I expected. The pool water was cold and the change rooms were not open. We did not get enough toilet paper, towels or face cloths for the two days. The coffee maker was useless.

The pool area was beautiful and the restaurant had a nice view to the water. At night you can enjoy a nice glass of wine by the bar!! Centrally located, just great!!

However, the exhausting fan is not independent to the room and therefore the bathroom became very damp after each use. The male receptionists provided excellent services during our stay, including giving recommendations to local restaurants and attractions. Unfortunately, the female receptionist showed a condescending attitude when we checked in and blamed us for booking through the third party website. We also offered to pay for a room upgrade but were told to get what we paid for and there's absolutely no changes. However, her attitude changed 180 once we told her that we contacted IHG and were members of the hotel. She upgraded our room and did not charge for parking. We didn't want her to ruin our trip, but her conducts were unprofessional. We have reported her to the head office.

We had a bridal shower getaway and both of them helped and accommodated our requirements. The restaurant has amazing food as well..

The hot tub is usually sparkling clean, unfortunately for my husband & I this time for 2days it was not. We were very disappointed ,we look forward to the hot tub on our visits. As well as knowing they have champagne glasses because we had some the previous week, on this visit the restaurant said they didn't have any. I told them yes they did, then the server got agitated when she went to get them. No apology very poor customer service. This visit was unexpected so soon being there just a few days prior due to a dear friends passing, upset & under enough stress as it was we checked our banking & noticed we were charged $200 per night security deposit instead of $100. I spent that morning at the front desk straightening out my billing. I have been coming to this hotel for the past year and a half & was not impressed at all. Spending roughly 250 a night for 2-4 nights biweekly I will say it again I was very disappointed with this visit. The brightest part was Melanie our housekeeper she was amazing. I am contemplating if I will stay here again.
R	Robin Fish on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visiting Peterborough for a quick visit. The hotel itself is a standard Holiday Inn. We had our room in the side facing the road, but we weren't there for the views. The side facing the river would give you something nicer to look at. The pool area is really nice. That's what makes this hotel worth it for us. It's heated and has an outdoor portion, which is really interesting being outside in the pool when it's 8c out. Hot tub and sauna were nice. The fitness facilities on premise were adequate. I didn't try the restaurant but others gave it decent reviews. Overall its a decent place to stay, we were here to explore the area and the hotel is centrally located.

I am telling you that I am still getting positive feedback today from everyone that attended. The food was amazing, from the presentation to the the taste. Service with a smile is an under statement. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile. Morning breakfast in the Riverside Grill, was great.. again service with a smile and food was fantastic. Our rooms were spotless, very clean and fully stocked with amenities The sunrise in the morning over the water was a beautiful way to wake up I will definitely stay there again soon
