★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was going to go to Hixon Exotics for a bird recently. After they were unable to supply photos of parents (red flag!!!) I looked further into the page and was faced with photos of extremely poor husbandry practices. There is a clear reason why this breeder does not want to show photos of their adults, this is clearly a bird mill. There are many ethical, great breeders around the area and I urge anyone looking to settle on a breeder who values cleanliness and the health of their birds. I know I did.
