β β β β β I called The Hive inquiring about cutting my dreads off. I spoke with a gentleman named Charles, and we agreed that I'd come in for a consultation to see what kind of hair we could salvage and then go from there.
On the day of the actual appointment, I was totally second guessing my decision on removing them, and what a mistake it would have been if I wouldn't have! I have never had such a good experience at a barber! The pain was horrible (as one can imagine, with the kind of work at hand) and still, I come out saying Charles is hands down the best hairdresser I've ever had. I felt like I was spending time with an old friend. He works quickly, all the while being such a wonderful person to converse with.
The cut I was left with is brilliant! It styles easily, and suits my face shape so well. The price was entirely reasonable for how long (and hard) he worked on removing my dreads, as well. I have literally only good things to say about my experience!
