It's a good offleash dog park with a separate area for smaller dogs. We went in mid March and unfortunately, the small dog area was still muddy with large puddles. This park would be better I'm the summer once the puddles dry up.

The wetlands area is such a beautiful setting. Lots of wildlife for a place so close to downtown. Herons, ducks, red-winged black birds, and the occasional turtle and beaver (rarely spotted, but it has happened). Great open space to spread out with your own piece of grass, and several food trucks have been set up on the edge of the park recently.

Pretty happy that I got to see a otter today at the park! Definitely was fun to watch. Awesome park with a kids playground and everything. Always seems clean and lots of friendly faces around.

The presence of this park in the very busy Olympic Village area of Southeast False Creek with the multiple accommodation centre present features a wetland, a children’s play area, large number of benches, a separate dog off-leash area and an easy way to enter the bike and pedestrian pathways so close by to explore the nicely developed Southeast False Creek Seawall area..

Nice place to walk next to false creek and with a nice little pond with some birds

The main feature for this park I believe is the dog park, natural water features it has, habitat Island and water play area. I would say that this park is mostly geared towards adults but with very unique ideas to entertain kids. The reason I say it's more geared towards adults is that it's got a large open field with lots of open space for sports (though maybe one game at a time), a flower field, a naturalized stream with picnic benches, very short paths for good photo opportunities and the lack luster playground. That's not to say your kids won't get something out of visiting. For kids there is the rather tame rope playground with three regular seat swings, two infant swings and one handicap swing (6 total). In the summer though there's a very neat water feature where pushing a button that looks much like a crosswalk button will pour water into two metal runnels one leading into a sandpit the other leading into the naturalized stream. There's also a very neat tunnel bridge that is made out of a sewer pipe, but with the other adult features it is quite easily a learning opportunity for your kids. They can see tides rise and fall, the animals that live under those tides, birds nesting and even on the rare occasion medium sized mammals (beavers & otters) though with these features I recommend very close monitoring. I'd say if they put a bit more effort into their playground this would be a top notch park all around but I feel like this park was built more towards the Olympians that were there when it was originally built thus a meh playground.

Great play area and interactive water play. Also lots of greens, small wildlife, ponds, bridges and a nearby dog park. Perfect in the summer.

We love this place! Habitat Island is a fun adventure for the kids, and a leisurely stroll along the seawall to the market and shops (mostly food and coffee shops, not too many retail options) of Olympic Village is very nice. There is a small park for kids. And rocks and a mound to climb over. Kids under 6 love to run and explore. Be warned that there are no bathrooms close by (that I am aware of). We usually walk to Urban Fare for a bathroom break. If your a mother take head that there is a code for the door and you can only retrieve it from the cashier, so if you're in a hurry this could be a problem.
