Rude and mean receptionist (pod 4?). January of 2021 contacted the Clinic to speak to my doctor. Had to wait weeks (3 weeks or so) to have a tele health conference. Doctor dismissed me and would not listen to me nor accept the medical diagnosis I discovered on Mayo Clinic and Pubmed sites. I discovered my symptoms were due to a rare serious type of tinnitus called Pulsatile Tinnitus or Vascular Tinnitus. The whooshing ringing is in sync with your heartbeat. I explained to me GP and Receptionist that is needed urgent scans because of catastrophic issues due to aneurysm, carotid artery, ear, neck or brain tumour or atherosclerosis. It is rare but when I explained to the GP she did not take me seriously because she was not familiar with the rare serious type of tinnitus. She referred me to an ENT but did not go because would have to wait months and ENT doctors do not deal with Pulsatile Tinnitus only the non threatening tinnitus. When I talked to the Receptionist explaining I needed urgent scans her reply was "your doctor does not think it is serious". I sent two notices describing my symptoms on the Clinic's form and those were not taken serious as well. It was so stressful and frustrating when the doctor did not take it serious and said the real issue was that I had "anxiety". She said "listen to your voice". I was fed up, frustrated and stressed due to having a serious type of tinnitus but doctor had no knowledge of Pulsatile Tinnitus. I spoke to my Neurologist and she could hear how distraught I was in my voice and was worried about the stress. My Neurologist ordered an urgent CT of the brain and neck. CT scan came back normal but read it usually is and the complete medical workup would be a MRI and MRA to follow a CT. I told the GP that CTs are 86% normal and needed a MRI/MRA. She asked me "where did you read that?" I told her Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins and Pubmed. I explained to the doctor all the different causes of PT but no urgent MRI or MRA was ordered. I sent medical literature to my Neurologist and she ordered an urgent MRI/MRA. Received the results from my Neurologist and the Pulsatile Tinnitus was due to a vascular loop of the cerebellopontine. Too dangerous to operate and have to deal with the constant ringing in ear. Others serious causes of PT can be corrected with brain, neck or heart surgery and eliminates PT ringing as well as stopping invasion of tumours, etc. etc. I had other health issues 1) was a purple foot which I knew was not normal and due to vascular issues which is also serious. GP would not refer me to a vascular doctor but had a telehealth doctor who immediately referred me to a vascular surgeon and 2) persistent clearing throat and post nasal. GP kept on telling me to use a netipot but would not listen that I do not have allergies or a cold virus. Explained had the symptoms since Fall of 2020 and have a history of serious sinus thrombosis staph infections. Noticed my symptoms were when I had anything acidic and googled symptoms. Turns out I have a rare type of acid reflux but no heartburn and is silent reflux disease. I have gotten rapid diagnosis in the past from other doctors because of my persistence and knowing something is not normal. I have saved my life years before with a condescending ER doctor who did not agree with my urgent diagnosis and told me to leave the ER. Returned to ER next day due to encephalitis and took 6 IVs of antibiotics to save my life. My advice to patients listen to your body, be persistent, google your symptoms and get a second or third opinion if the doctor is not knowledgeable or will not listen.

I had the best experience today. Walked in and got an appointment within an hour. They called me when I could get in earlier. The reception nurse and doctor were all friendly and helpful. Thank you

I wouldn’t typically leave a review of a doctor but given how difficult it is to find family GP’s right now .. I felt Dr. Brockman was deserving of the recognition. I made an appointment today and got in right away, Dr. Brockman was exceptionally thorough, addressed all my concerns, explained the treatment he recommended and why .. he took the time to address each issue. He is just an exceptionally thoughtful caring doctor !!! Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a GP ..

Not only are the receptionists horribly rude, the doctors are incompetent! After waiting over an hour for a doctor to call me for a phone appointment, she then forgot to send in the refill to the pharmacy. My son's medication lapsed and we had to go through a walk-in clinic to get it filled. This is the last straw. I will be pulling all family members from this clinic as the service and care is more likely to put you at risk of late diagnosis, medicine lapses as they are utterly incompetent. No excuses!. They do not care nor do they do their jobs. Truly horrible. Do not waste your time or put your family at risk by using this clinic. I never leave reviews, but I feel that the care here is so negligent as to cause harm. Furthermore, I can't understand how front end staff are permitted to treat the public with such a lack of respect and keep their jobs. This place is a DISASTER!!!

Have always been happy with the services provided at this walk-in clinic even during the pandemic. Went to the walk in for my child who was needed to be seen semi-urgently and they were accommodating, kind and followed up with us. Highly recommend!

The receptionist is horribly cruel. We were the only people in the whole waiting room and she told my husband to leave because of COVID rules. It made no sense as the whole waiting room was empty, so why even have chairs? He had a broken toe so moving at all was very painful for him. She also spoke very rudely to a guy who was trying to get some wound care and made him leave too - he also had a leg injury and could barely walk. The Doctor who talked to my husband was helpful, but then his staff never sent the x-ray form to the hospital. Luckily he asked for it to be emailed to us so that the x-ray could still be done. Once the x-ray had been taken, the hospital sent it back to the clinic. No one from the clinic called us, when we called them they said they hadn't gotten it. So we call the hospital again, they said they sent it, and would sent it again. Again we call this clinic and they claim to never have received it. At this point we gave up and had the x-ray sent to another doctor who of course got it right away. I really don't know what they're playing at here other than wasting people’s time. It’s alarming that they’re claiming not to get results from the hospital. Avoid this place at all costs if you need timely results... or any results at all!

This is specifically regarding Dr Mazurek @ Hilltop; has taken on my mom as family Dr when the second of her GPs retired; She has a complex medical history and medication profile and while we are only a couple of appointments and he has shown himself to be very thoughtful, respectful, clear and I am impressed with his grasp of her medical history and he is already bringing his knowledge to bear with what I hope will be positive results. He seems to very much consider the patient in front of him and not just deal in typical scenarios or generalities. I’ve assisted my mom during all her medical appointments and so had contact with many medical professionals and Dr. Mazurek definitely stands out as one of the good ones. His staff have been great, but previous staff we have dealt with at Hilltop for another Dr. (and esp a referrals manager) have ranged from OK to flat out horrible. Thus losing a star for the clinic as a whole.

I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to other people. I was late twice because of traffic. Even though I phoned them to let them know a bout the delay , the doctor and the receptionist treated us with such disrespect. The second time took me forty minutes to get there because of construction, which normally takes 25 minutes from North Surrey. I phoned them and the receptionist told me that if I got there in less than ten minutes, she didn’t specified ten minutes from the scheduled time, the doctor would see me. When I got there, the receptionist yelled at me and my friend, saying that we were always late and that the doctor would not see me , that I had to make another appointment. The first time the doctor himself came to the reception to tell us that we were late, and not in a nice way. I had phoned them ahead of time to let them know I was gonna be late because of traffic.. People don’t go to this clinic if you want to be treated with respect.
